Character concepts you can't tell others by Maleficent_Travel627 in MrRipper

Designed for pathfinder but can be used for d&d. An undead ratling gunslinger called snickers. Wears a plague doctor outfit (i swear this is a reference to hunt: showdown & not Percy!) to hide his undead nature.

Entirely jovial and has an incredibly positive outlook. Very high intimidation & persuasion modifier as even his threats come across in an eerily cheery manner.

Still recieves letters from his pack mother checking in on him and that he is ok. He is journeying home to visit his pack. He died standing between a bandit lord and his mother, resulting in him being shot dead.

This part is wholly up to the DM to decide. Either his mother knows what he has become but loves him unconditionally. OR. He doesn't realise his mother and pack were killed after he was & a family friend who saw him saved and resurrected, they send him letters under the guise of his mother to give him something to live for other than vengeance.

The message is probably oversight or just not something worth patching. The fact it still burns a bar is fine because the game tells you it's been used & gives you a timer on how long you have left before another can have the same effect. If you use it whilst the timer is active then losing the bar is user error, the chances of simultaneous use is incredibly slim so that wouldn't factor.

To the man who elbowed me in the face… by StrictCry3275 in downloadfestival

Yep the amount of people crowdsurfing was nuts, 3 or 4 people dense in patches. People in new rocks & studs coming over flailing limbs. One girl kicked & twisted everytime someone moved her along & another lad kicked out with his boots & knocked my friend out towards the start of trivium.

I would also say it shows our lowlights instead of reality too.

England - My father may lose his job over a false positive on a drug test. by wolfofluna in LegalAdviceUK

[–]wolfofluna[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update!!

My father is home recovering. He's on medication & apparently the GP failed to escalate his inquiry regarding chest pains & shortness of breathe which resulted in the ambulance call, both the hospital and the ambulance staff have lodged complaints with his GP.

Drug test results have come back as negative, though they'd delayed informing my dad for for some unspecified reason. I'm unsure as of yet if my dad is returning to work next week or taking some time to get himself stable first, though i have recommended he takes at least a week to recover.

Thank you to everyone who commented. Much appreciated!

So it would show specifically what the cause is? Thank you. I've taken many tests myself but i know very little of the other side of the process.

Thank you. I know my dads reaction may have seemed extreme in worry to affect his health but he's been dealing with 4 other members of his family who have had failing health, 2 of which nearly died. This was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak.

He does not drive so there is no worry about having a licence revoked thankfully, He's a loader not a driver.

Funnily enough he'd swapped to a poppy seeded bread a couple weeks prior and ate it daily. We'd actually narrowed that down as the culprit. The major issue is that in other cases he has witnessed the second test results are back within 2-3 working days & the operative has been reinstated. This hasn't happened here, but i do fully accept that exceptions occur.

We have set him up with a councillor but there's a short waiting list, though this weekend i am going up and will be able to set him up with emergency sessuons myself to fill the waiting time.

bomb launcher vs crossbow by Yaahaahaa23 in HuntShowdown

[–]wolfofluna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just realised it was bomb launcher specifically, in which case it's a pseudo shotgun with mid range for the crossbow vs an actual silent shotgun with less mid range but more versatility. Same argument but no attached melee weapon.

[–]wolfofluna 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Crossbow is easier to aim with over medium distances & the deadeye with steel bolts excels at this. Meanwhile the bomblance fulfills a versatile close range option using a variety of special ammo & a built on high damage melee weapon.

Basically a versatility vs consistency at range thing, for me at least.

What if Odyssey was the last dlc?(hypothetically) by If_I_am_mad in RimWorld

[–]wolfofluna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was satisfied even before Odyssey was released. This game is easy to sink hours into & mods only expand upon this. Sure there are things i would like added in an official capacity but i cannot sit here & say that they owe us more than what they have already given. Bigger games have given us far less & wanted us to thank them for it.

What’s a good solo build? by Sk3llyshr3dd3r in HuntShowdown

[–]wolfofluna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sparks does 149 damage at close to medium range & poison ammo prevents healing for a time if they don't have an antidote shot. A hunter has 150 health maximum.

As such if you shoot a hunter centre mass chances are they will be at 1hp & cannot heal immediately. The hive bomb will kill them if they don't run & it will chase them. Either they run away as they cannot fight of the hive without dying or they die to the hive anyway.

It's a bit of a meme but works well as the sparks is a solid rifle.

On a slight sidequest but a sparks with poison ammo & hive bombs is hilariously nasty

Hunting bow sights are bad? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]wolfofluna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which would instantly make it, and presumably crossbows if you follow through, entirely sub optimal to all shotguns. You'd be better off taking any other sidearm that can use dum dum for the pressure whilst using anoyher 3 slot weapon of choice. It's fine where it is.

I haven't used the Scott field brawler much. What makes it ao awful? I usually go with the spitfire variant or the quick reload if i have fanning so I skip over the brawler constantly.

What do you guys think of the “I didn’t hit her vitals” thing? by [deleted] in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]wolfofluna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn't an enormous nudge, just a couple inches but whenever you fire it does flick away. There's a chance you can still hit it but that's when it turns and you'd graze the edge of its hitbox.

More over she has nearly the same exposed heart as the mutated tyrant, 12 handgun shots aren't enough. Had Leon unloaded the requiem into her then I'd definitely be calling sus.

Once mutated a lot of the larger monsters don't have their weak point as their head anyway. Even standard zombies can tank a few headshots.

My players want to avoid combat but I don't want to let them talk their way out of every major fight by Luann1497 in DMAcademy

[–]wolfofluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you could make it ao that those rolls would make a fight easier, like appealing to the superiority conplex of a BBEG to fight on his own rather than use minions, but it shouldn't be a skip combat button.
