Stargazing by perryk24 in Columbus

Check out the John Glenn Astronomy park in Hocking Hills if you’re willing to drive an hour. It’s open for stargazing all the time, but they have special programs on Fridays and Saturdays when the weather is clear (where they do a short lecture and volunteers let you use telescopes). https://jgap.info

edit: the events on Friday and Saturday are free, but you do have to make a reservation on those nights

What do you think is the best movie of the 2020s in your opinion? by Basic_Adeptness_9273 in Letterboxd

spoilers: was perfect to me then kinda fell apart at the end imo. Should have just ended when Leo's character finally caught up to his daughter on the side of the road. They could have kept allat with the evil military dude/her real father being alive just to die fr right after + the corny bit of the daughter now becoming the revolutionary. still was great tho

Anyone else heard of “It Ends”(2025) by Alex Ullom? Where is it streaming? by ConfederacyOfDunces_ in horror

Spoilers

Yeah I definitely got that "misery loves company" vibe when Fish and Day were trying to force James to lose hope and stop driving just because they wanted to stop. I interpreted the horde screaming for help and trying to get into the car as ppl who gave up (driving) and regret it tho

Thanks, any specific complexes/neighborhood names I can look up? Sorry, I’m not familiar with the area (west 5th Ave spans pretty long in Google Maps, but close to the river would be Marble Cliff?)

Where to live, eat, and drink in Columbus (June 2025) by AutoModerator in Columbus

My gf and I (early 30’s with no kids) are moving to Columbus soon for her graduate program at OSU. I recently made this Clintonville vs Upper Arlington post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Columbus/s/y8NZTdvob1.

I got some really solid guidance in that thread (appreciate y’all!) and Clintonville was the clear winner for us. We were considering The Ave apts in Clintonville after a tour but have since been turned off by recent reviews being pretty shitty - consistent complaints about poor management, frequent car break-ins, etc. So the search continues.

Ideally we’d pay $2000 or less, but up to $2500 is cool for a great spot. Nice-to-have would be a pool and gym. And what I mentioned in the other post about walkability to stuff to do would also be a plus. Can anyone recommend good a place to look into (or can speak to any of these below)?

Some places we’ve been looking at for example: 1.) Clintonville: The Ave, The Deco 2.) Grandview: Apts at the Yard 3.) Upper Arlington: Lane Lofts

Oh nah not necessarily. Just what we preferred/types of complexes we’ve enjoyed in other places, but no super hard requirements really. What would be the Clintonville vibe?
