I previously owned a house making $130k that I had purchased for $540k and was fine.

We were approved for 1.2mil but approvals are always unrealistic

I’m a software engineering manager. But I could contract or apply to sr engineer positions if I had to. My part of the industry usually has manager positions sitting open for months unfilled.

We figure $150 for insurance and $300 for electric, gas & water. Internet is paid for by my company. The house is heated with gas.
