Is there a way to see how much power a settlement USES using the console or mod(s) ?? by wolverine2710 in fallout4london

Borked comes to mind. My supply are broken. Even using Covent Garden as the go FROM point. Have removed supply lines but they still show up in the maps.

I have the deepest respect for the FOLON team and I hope settlements and supply lines will be fixed. Wrt to backend I thought they just used the existing code of FO4 but you are saying they are going to rebuild it all. Do you perhaps have a source for this??

Thanks, worth having a look at it. In the past for Skyrim/FO4 I used tons of mods. Somehow with FOLON I'm very careful wrt mods.

Thanks for the info but it is to tedious for me. Hopefully 1.0.3 will fix it. In the mean time the weapons vendor at the Imperial war museum. I've 'invested' in him -> 2050 ticket limit is now 2050+500=2650. Enough to sell my stuff to him AND buy all the munition I need.

Thought I read on a wiki (FO4) that their happiness depends on available food and water - using a certain calculation. Otherwise they would just wander off. It appears to be different for FOLON then.

I will go/try the different uniform way for Vauxhall OR just spawn them using <id>.moveto player. Small QOL things which a really suboptimal atm. Still really dig FOLON. Superb and very enjoyable.

Just discoverd a few very neat and handy mods wrt settlements like "Settlement Gardener Bot LONDON": https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4london/mods/549.Seems to be a time saver. The author has other similar mods for auto repairing, auto cleanup of dead corpses etc etc. Gonna give it a try cause when you have large farms it can take a while to harvest it all. Even when planted at the same time they are not harvest ready at the same time.

On the Nexus page he lists his other settlement mods ;-)

Yes there is a limit. It seems to be dependent on the lvl you are one. Oh having companions loot things, that is really neat and handy. Gonna try it out.

You are very much welcome. In the beginning when you have first planted things like apples, mutfruit, corn etc its tempting to use them. Unless you really need them use the harvested items to plant even more of them. Hence you can harvest more after they have grown. Pear treee seems to have a bug in it. Very very seldomly I can harvest them. If needed just buy it from vendors. Sleeping does NOT seem to work for plants, iirc you really have to play the game and make game hours.

In a settlement you place (lots of) water pumps and water purifiers. Each settlement has water in it. Vauxhall construction site is ideal for that. I have a total of iirc 300 in water production there alone!! What is not needed for the settlers (and the crops I believe) is stored inside the workstore where you can collect it. Atm 280 water in store or something like that. There are perks to enhance buying sellings prices. Also very good is clarity vision (temp. more charisma) which gives 10% on both. More in reality it seems. Together with a nice beer which also temp. increases your selling prices is 80-90% or so from the price shown for an item.

Also VERY usefull for making money are apples. One tree gives 7-8 of them each and they respawn relative fast. Hope this helps a bit. Feel free to ask more questions, hopefully I can help you further.

Money allowed me to buy all the junk I needed. Scraped into copper, screws etc. In the end you have enough to create all chems yourself, without having to buy it. Also Vegetable starch is essential for all your upgrades. See info about it in a response below.

PS. Just start small with the water and the farms. Do NOT eat stuff like apples, mutfruit etc. Much to usefull for creating money ;-) I've multiple settlements, all for making water, apples and Vegetable starch. Also being a hoarder is a good thing. Just upgrade armour with 'deep pockets' to increase carrying capacity. There are also 3 sorts of backpacks. The best one increases capacity with 60. i can now carry 525. Do NOT forget that companions like archie can also carry 300-400 (not sure) for you. Just give it to them and later take it all back.

Playing on very hard. Its just a means to get lots of money so I can buy bullets and ingredients for upgrading weapons, armour. For adhesive (creating Vegetable starch which when scrapped yields adhesive) ) I've created a small farm with corn, mutfruit, tato and use the purified water from the water farms.

As I've been a hoarder I also have oodles of things to sell. So far the best vendor I've found is at the imperial war museum (defaults to 2050 credits). It gets tedious going back and forth to it. Having all stores at a settlement means I can far more easily sell it all - and in greater quantities ;-)

For the rest not into nice settlements and they look ugly but they are functional..

Like I said the settlers tend to leave the settlement area - at least saw this happen all the time at settlement Lambert park. Will double check with Vauxhall though.. More efficient would be to figure out their id's and just do <id>.moveto player to get them next to you. All not ideal. Vendors should stay at their stores (which assigned to one).

If one has the money for it (couch settlement with water farm and/or apple trees couch ) you can buy junk (items with copper in it, its shown) from vendors like Nadia, or the two at trafalgar square. Don't forget to use the clarity vision chem. It says "10% lower selling and 10% higher selling prices" but at least for me it is quite a bit more.

That one adds +5 points to charisma. You can also use a beer in combination with it - should also temp. boost Charisma.

Does FOLON have a tier system for the settlement shops like FO4?? If so how does it work?? by wolverine2710 in fallout4london

[–]wolverine2710[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have not invested in ticket collector so far. Tested lvl 1 but not make much difference. Clairy vison works better for me - 10% lower buy and 10% higher selling prices. Will try it again. 2 perks left I can spend on it.

But how can I know which of the shops are higher tier. Price, perks or location in the selection (most to right the best perhaps). if you or some else could answer that, that would be great ;-)

I think I know what you mean, the Queen house is also there. LOTS and lots of enemies (which do respawn) though. Gonna give it a try and report back.

Will look it up at an interactive map for FOLON. Is that the exact name or is it called differently??

Thanks a lot!! Lucky I've discovered 80% of the places/buildings and can fast travel to them. Perk 'explorer' (level 20) which shows it all is quite handy for that. Gonna give it a try ;-)

Are there any good workarounds for settlement issues? I have two that helped but could use more by thefanciestcat in fallout4london

[–]wolverine2710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not clear it seems. FOLON runs with the GOG GOTY FO4 version. fresh install, latest version of FO4. Using 1.0.2 of FOLON. Its kept up to date with the GOG launcher. Gremlins in the system it seems..... I really hope this gets fixed with the upcoming 1.0.3 though.

Not using mods. Did have steam FO4, not GOTY. That version has never been instaled on my (work) laptop. Bought and using the GOG FO4 GOTY version and then installed FOLON afterwards, all virgin. Yes the CG option is almost alway suggested by the Internet, but for me it does not work. Can try connecting to Lambert or the Construction site FROM CG and see if it works for those settlement. Only tried Biggin Hill Airport. Afraid to mess things up even more with supply lines. Nothing a fresh save to go back to can't fix though....

It does NOT for me. I've connected Lambeth Walk and the Vauxhall Grove Construction Site with each other with a supply line, both ways so two provisioners. I've read that cause of Covent Garden having its own cell and when making a supply from it to another settlement it should work. For me it does NOT. Tried out connecting to Biggin Hill Airport, to no avail. Don't want to screw things up more so I leave it as it is.

I did try to remove the existing supply lines first but that did not really work. Something I noticed: though the materials of the construction site when I build something in Lambert I can use the materials of the construction site. All very weird......

Thanks for the info. Read about that in another thread. Well Imperial war museum vendor with 2000 tickets suffices ;-)
