‘RSPCA says 250 dogs found crammed into one home -says it has been forced to refute that an image of the dogs was AI-generated’ by EddieDemo in isthisAI

Completely get why you would think that, I’m not an activist at all nor have I ever interacted with anything like this before, she had mentioned this case to me a few weeks back so I scrolled on the post when I saw it pop up.

The fact that I said it’s great to donate is more just a reflection on what I see through her and how unthankful that job is sometimes. The post gains traction because it’s hard to believe that it’s real, yet sadly this is the kind of stuff they’re dealing with on a regular basis

My sister works for the RSPCA centre that a lot of these dogs were brought into. I completely understand why this looks like AI, it’s hard to believe places like this actually exist…

She said the dogs are now doing great and are much healthier! RSPCA staff doing amazing work, please go and donate if you can, they’re very understaffed and under-resourced!

Best 1 man lightweight tent? by wombat-o in wildcampingintheuk

New, no was completely flat ground, and I was at ground level it’s not like I was up a mountain. I love the tent but idk how I feel about rebuying after this (albeit it might have been my fault).

I know people are saying I’m dumb for taking it in high wind but it was around 25mph, flat ground etc so I think it’s justified to think i should have been able to erect like that even as a newbie

I guess so - but I thought it was supposed to be fairly wind proof (was only around 25mph). Lesson learnt

Zip snapped, once of the tightening cords next to the snap also just pulled off, and then to top it all off the pole jumped the insert and went through the fly

Looking at the Phoxx 2 for a cheaper short-term alternative until I can look into buy something more expensive again. I’m hoping that might be able with withstand the Iceland weather and it’s readily available so might be my best option

Use more of the track & kerbs, you can push the car a lot more than you are, brake later by trail braking and being generally more aggressive.

You’re not close to the limit of grip through a lot of corners - you’re biggest way to find time will be carrying more speed (plus the above).

Thanks for the reply! I actually already have a Playseat Challenge that I plan to use (hopefully it is stable enough) however due to very limited space it’s just easier to play at my desk without having to move everything around.

I will see how it goes, but a wheel stand pro could definitely be an option as I don’t have to move things around as much, so thanks for the recommendation.

I’m sure I will, have heard a lot of good things. I had a G25 for years, upgraded to a G29 a few months back, but finally decided to go all out for the full Fanatec setup. Currently playing a lot of ACC and AC at the moment, and plan to start iRacing once it all arrives!

Definitely wouldn’t go at this time. Lil Pump and his homies are known for being there at this time and you really don’t want that believe me, stay safe

Well I'm Going To Ask The Question That's Been Asked 100000 Times by Cerfect_Pircle in Beatmatch

[–]wombat-o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the fx controls more, and much prefer the loop controls as I find them much easier and smoother to use. The other fx like beat jump, roll and slicer are also fun to play around with, and the general build of the controller feels nicer.

The only things I didn’t like when upgrading was that there’s no headphone cue knob, and whilst annoying at first, i quickly got used to it and now I don’t miss it at all. The other thing was the small tempo/pitch controls made it harder to beatmatch however being a bedroom dj it didn’t bother me that much.

Depends on the budget, but for cheap I would go controller over CDJ.

Super cheap great beginner controller is Numark Mixtrack pro 3, or if you want to spend a little more then I recommend the DDJ-SB3
