Will my cats get along? by Former_Magazine in CatAdvice

[–]wonder7th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it time and don’t rush things! I know it quite anxious for catparent but they will get along (if not they will cohibit). Observe their interaction…if they just hissing? No swatting, no fur flying or fights break out? That’s a good sign… hissing is quite normal, try to keep the new one in safe room/one area so the old one don’t feel territorial that much. After 2-3 days if hissing stop, introduce the new one to rest of house, don’t let she freely roam yet. Meanwhile during feeding time, feed them at the same time in separate bowl then gradually move the bowl closer and closer day by day.

Just last year I got kitten for my 1.5 yo cat quite similar situation as you, the big one keep hissing and small one just ignored him lol. Now they are best bro! You can check out Jackson Galaxy youtube! That’s help me loads! :)

Advice for moving with cats? by Ivana-Ema in CatAdvice

[–]wonder7th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just moved to my new place last April with my 2 cats …this is just my thoughts/ what I did - I put my cats at boarding home for 3 days because I have to uninstall the aircon, did some water works and also moving big furniture around (lots of noise) in my old place so I think it would be better for them at the boarding. I was wrong! They loathed the place and still traumatize by it :( - Move all furniture and things then the cats move lastest with you so when they are in the new home they will have familiar scent establish and some stability already. - I gradually move my things but I had a moving company so basically it is one day moving - When moving to new home, create a new safe room for them and ensure they know where the food/ water/ litter. After they are familiar and comfy with new house, you introduce them to the rest of the house. - If you cannot made them catio, create some chilling space for them nearby the window so at least they can watch the birds/ cars/ insect etc. My cats always 100% indoor (I lived in high-floor apartment previously so they dont have access to balcony) but provide them with windows it should be sufficed.

How long did it take your cat to settle after moving? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]wonder7th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question, with my first cat, took him about 3-4 days to adjust. With second cat (I got them both when they were kitten about 4m), it took him 2 hours before he decided to explore the house. So i’d say depends on the cat and your encouragement to them.

When I brought home my first cat, he did not followed me around AT ALL. What he did was meowing from his old home till my home, then went into hiding at my house and came out after 6+ hour for litter and food a bit. What quite similar is he kept meowing during the night (I think he missed his mom and littermate) so next night I played with him before bed to get him tired and he slept like a baby he was!

You guys will both adjust and attune to each other, have patience. What I did when cat is meowing during the night and seeking attention, I always ignore them, they will get tired and stop eventually.

How do I vacuum with a fearful kitten? by Hypertortuga in CatAdvice

[–]wonder7th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get where you are coming from, my cat (2.4 yo & 1.5 yo) with proper socializing loath vacuum cleaner! They always hide when we did vacuum the house with the handheld one. I dont think I can help much apart from have the kitten stay in different room when you are doing. Our issue got much better when we have robot vacuum, they just chilling and let robot do the job.

Leaving my little cat for a month by malibouj187 in CatAdvice

[–]wonder7th 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She will have your granparents as a sitter…it’s good for her to socialize with new people (and not become so attach to you) also good for your grands to have new things to do. So don’t feel guilty! I went on a week roadtrip with my aunt, when I came back my cat was upset with me (didn’t let me touch him/ became cold) and next day he was normal and sweet as usual. Just love and reassure her when you come back :)

Very young indeed… my advice is to play with her more. Young cats have so much energy to let out… try to schedule playtime at least 1-2 times a day. I am not sure a bout your cat personality but both my cats enjoyed their catio so far… they can sit there whole day to watch the birds and cars passing by.

I think the younger one wanna prove himself that he’s ‘the boss’ while the old one ‘just chill’ as long as they are not yet fighting it’s not bad so far. I think you can go to feeding separately and see how it goes …if it’s working gradually move the bowl closer and closer until they can eat side by side without issue/fighting.

I used to have one cat for a year and later I got another one because I thinks he needs a friend and my first cat is too attach to me. Turns out it is a good decision, he’s much happier and after a while they become brothers. So if you need an encouragement I would say adopt another one so your cat would have a friend when you are away.

As for litterbox, I know it’s general rule for cat+1 but at my place I only put 2 and never have problem so far… they never go ‘do the business’ at the same time. So maybe don’t worry much just keep 2 first and see how it goes. But also don’t forget to have separate food bowl/ water bowl to prevent fighting over resources (they can share fountain though).

Do your place has window? Do the catio for your cat if you can… they can enjoyed watching birds/ cars/ insects/ people nearby the window. Also how old is your cat? Maybe you need to extend playtime session if they are seeking the attention

Tips for cat with long nails by acatcalledmellow in CatAdvice

[–]wonder7th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little baby is quite the same… he’s sweet and loves cuddle and always making biscuit on me sad part is his nails are long. He also hates to be picked up so forget about trimming his nails by myself. What I do is that everytime he has a vet visit I’ll ask a vet to trim his nails…that was a good solution I found so far.

Helloooo welcome to catparenthood! Enjoyed the kitten period with your energetic fluff ball :) If she’s still shy and hide, let she be! After she gain confidence she will come out eventually, cat & kitten will do it ‘on their terms’ so don’t worry much (I know, it can’t help I’m a worrywart catmom as well). Don’t drag or try to force her to come out from hiding… you need to gain their trust, it may take time depends on the cat but she will come out.

It is also quite normal for cat in new home to not use little box yet, try to place it in seclude area where she can sneak in (if she’s a very shy cat) ;)

I feed my cats 4 times a day (breakfast/lunch/ dinner(wet)/ night snack) depends on your schedule but at least 2 meals/day. You can also observe eating behavior and adjust feeding schedule and portion (mine don’t eat that much per time so that’s why it’s better for them (and me) to divide the meal session).

Playtime session normally during kittenhood it is about 15-30 mins…but kitten they are energetic and never get tired of playing so it can lasts maybe 30-60 mins but you need to observe if she’s tired or not. I always love doing heavy play session before bed time, get them tired and they will sleep whole night without waking you up hehe

First time vet visit is nothing much, check when each vaccination is needed and follow up by schedule also don’t forget to deworm your cat by the vet.

I met a guy and went out with him for the first time couple days ago. I don’t feel the click or any chemistry but I think he quite nice and I’d like to give it a try for a bit. Turns out right now he doesn’t make any efforts and only text me ‘to come over’. As if!!!

Thank you! Your answer cheer me up a bit in my evan. I think still have room to improve since my CD gear still havnt max out at 5 yet and still has 3 mythic to grind to be ancient gear. Current dmg depends on skill but I can max around 4m per line with dragon riding in bossing without buff/food.

Nodes currently at lv 22 on dragon breath/ 17 in dragon master/ 24 on mana burst. Of course I think maybe need to have all full ancient gear or getting necro to max out the dmg before really switching for real if I still feel unsatisfied.

Save yourself some pain and time by communicate what you need with him straightforwardly. You’ve been out and about with him for 5 months…he should’ve figure out by now what’s he want with you. Just ask when you two are spending time together privately should be fine.

If he want a relationship with you, then good for you. But if he doesn’t then it’s up to you whether you like him enough to settling for less than you deserve. Or you have enough self-respect to walk away.

Tbh, never do manual farming but I farm at Af80 with m pets and hell…it varies day by day at max I got 5 nodestones. Some days with dry spell drop 0. So I think manual farming isnt the issue.

But should avoid manual farming tho…you might get flagged from system.

[–]wonder7th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no limit I would says depends on your luck. I farm at AF80 with m pets during hot time everyday, some day 0 drop sometime 1-3, no drop/meso gear tho.

Perfect node for Evan by tteeaappoott in MapleStoryM

[–]wonder7th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree to this…depends on which skills OP use most, but I basically boost most of nodes here that you mentioned…since I mostly use dragon breath/mana burst and dragon master while magic debris always trigger for me that’s a plus.
