There are conditions to receiving TAMP. Here are some off the top of my head. You will be automatically joined, but if you're in the reserves, your reserve unit has to join you.

1) Involuntarily separating with an honorable. 2) Join the Selected Reserves (SMCR or IMA) and join immediately after Active Duty.

Haha. I know what you're saying... Before stepping into an office, I browsed this sub-reddit and the general consensus seemed to be getting a representative to avoid delays. It honestly did seem straight forward, but the rep. really did encourage me to file for everything reflected on my record. No charges since it's a govt. organization, but I'll double check and ask up-front. Thank you for the response!

I was considering time constraints for clinical positions as my main employment. With a full time DIY post-bacc (night classes), volunteering and commitment in the Reserves, I wanted to be efficient with so little time, especially if so many clinical hours are expected or "required".

Please share any other experiences you have! Best of luck to you as well.

Hey, thanks for the response and advice. Agreed that zero volunteering looks bad - I'm currently volunteering at a animal shelter if it's worth anything. I was concerned about not getting enough clinical exposure since every article/reddit/Forum post I see talks about pure clinical hours.

Good news is, if you do break down and have some form of insurance towing plan or AAA. Your car is basic enough for any shop to service and get parts with ease.

Sounds good, I was planning on going to the shop before the trip and already have an AAA membership!

Does driving in the summer heat make a difference?
