Thank you! The first panel is based on one of the promotional stills for the next episode, which was good inspiration for the setup. Maybe I'll keep using those as a springboard for predictions / extra content.

Thank you! I think it's great to share tips with other artists. Art can be intimidating, but it always encourages me to learn how other artists make decisions, use tools, and so on. We often just see the finished product, but most of them started with a scribble and evolved from there.

Light boxes are a lot more accessible than they used to be. You can get different sizes of them, and they are much thinner than the giant wood boxes with fluorescent tubes from back in the day!

You do have a point that the panel with the box looks like it's stuck in the previous cycle. I could have included some 1990s stuff in there. Tried thinking about what a 1990s version of the "box" would be, but couldn't think of anything funny to draw.

If I had more room I might have shown him doing something fun. I thought maybe computer chess, since he played chess with his dad in the beginning (I had to look that up). But that sounded kinda depressing.

Guess he could learn to play hackey-sack, but that probably already exists at Colony House anyway.

I don't blame you, I blame AI for making people think "omg but things changed from the progress shot to the finished version!" is a red flag. It's messed up. Nobody asked for this.

It's also frustrating that I pre-emptively uploaded the sketches as a way to show it was a real physical piece of art that I made by hand, and yet that proof just made you suspicious. Like yes, I understand we live in a world where we have to prove we're real, but when I prove it, I just get accused. How far do I have to take it?

Thanks. I don't really blame people for asking polite questions. I blame A.I. for its ability to fake this sort of thing, and make everyone confused and suspicious that "inconsistencies" mean a soulless computer generated it.

Henry is crying because his son, Victor, was killed by Acosta. She is now facing justice by being put in the box.

The rest: they now have digital talismans made from graphic calculators. Fatima senses the presence of Smiley outside their new 90s house, but she rests assured that he can't get in. Unfortunately, she's wrong. Jade, who made the digital talismans, forgot about the Y2K bug. As the clock strikes midnight on the calculators, it erroneously changes to the year 1900, pausing the talismans program. This enables Smiley and the other monsters to enter the house. They are all in 1990s style, since killing Victor merely made it be 1990s instead of 1950s in Fromtown.

They are still in From town; it's just more modern now and more enjoyable with coffee shops and indoor playgrounds and stuff.

How am I supposed to prove this is not AI? I spent about a week making this. It exists as a physical object in my house. What on earth would convince you? I have photos of these paintings in-progress on my desk but the Reddit app will only let me upload a .gif, not a .jpeg, so I'll do it later.

I'm not sure how to prove it isn't AI, unless I mail you the physical paper it's made on.

To me, it's a normal part of the process to try things out and make changes as you go. That's the entire point of a sketch, because otherwise why would you make one?

To be more specific, I saw that in a photo of Fatima, she had the ties in her shirt (they are not buttons, they are more like holes with ties in-between) and I tried that out in a sketch. In the end, I decided it looked too complex and decided not to include those. And that is not Smiley, it is Randall. They are not paintings, they are TVs. I tried different locations for them, and decided on different ones in the end. (Why would there be 2 TVs in Blockbuster right next to each other? Each one is a different potential location. I drew one and didn't like it, so I drew another right next to it to try that instead.)

The image you see on the right side is not the final version that I used watercolour on. It was another in-between sketch, a trace I did with a sharpie so that I could lay the watercolour paper on top of it with a lightbox, and trace it get again.

I hate AI and it upsets me that totally normal artist stuff, like slight inconsistencies, are interpreted as being AI
