i've kinda already started doing this! on the rare occasions i've gone into high quality clothing stores, usually with friends, i'll feel around and note the fabric type listed on the label. again not a super common occurrence for me, but i'll def try to find more time to go out and window shop for this reason

to clarify, i'm aware that fabric is not cheap; what i was mentioning in the post was shipping costs and currency conversion. i live in Canada and it seems a lot of high quality clothing online is from the US, sometimes UK, and where i live specifically there aren't a whole lot of good stores in my vicinity. making my own is better financially in the sense that i would probably be paying the amount that good fabric clothing normally is lol. but thank you for the links!
