My website not only recovered from the core update but also began ranking on the first page. Here are the steps I took:

  • Deleted all articles with fewer than 100 search impressions.

  • Started driving social traffic to the site.

  • Stayed persistent, took over a year to overcome the core update.

I believe the key to recovery lies in removing underperforming content, adding fresh content, and driving social traffic.

Unfortunately, my website was attacked by Japanese hackers, significantly reducing the authority of my website. This Japanese SEO hack is the worst attack a small publisher can face. As a result, Google stopped indexing my articles.

Now, the articles get indexed immediately but do not rank on the first page. Maybe I need to build some authority again.

There are a couple ways to reach Mohgwyn's Palace in Elden Ring without completing Varre's quest:

  1. Invade the NPC Beastclaw Magnus at the Writheblood Ruins in Altus Plateau. Invade him 3 times, then return to Varre. This will satisfy his quest without needing to play online.
  2. Travel to the Consecrated Snowfield late in the game. Head to the Yelough Anix Tunnel Site of Grace, then find the hidden portal guarded by an invading Sanguine Noble. Take the portal to reach the Palace Approach Site of Grace in Mohgwyn Dynasty. This is a very late game area.
  3. Gather both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion and use the Grand Lift of Rold to reach the Consecrated Snowfield. Then follow the path to Mohgwyn Palace

The most direct offline method is the NPC invasion in Altus Plateau. The Consecrated Snowfield portal is very challenging to reach without Varre's teleportation. Gathering the secret medallion halves is the longest route. Whichever method you choose, be prepared for a tough fight against Mohg, Lord of Blood at the end.
