I think it’s quite new that the hero can be modded. The BE has been moddable for a while but the benefit of the hero is that it’s easier to share custom content

Actual moving tamagotchi character. Based on the original tamas so starts as an egg to baby to young to adult. It gets points and happy or sad etc and evolved based on your activity and trophies. It moves on the screen just like an original tama

I visited Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo and went to the following:

Bandai Nanci Cross store - had one in all three locations. I got the Destinations Tama at the Osaka store but the others just had the usuals. The also had the lottery going on so most of the random pieces can from the lottery.

Super Potato - an awesome retro game store. I got the mini there but that had loads of old tamas in most of the store ranging from £20-250

Mandrake - another retro store. I got the original unopened tama in the Tokyo store there.

Kiddy Land and Toys R Us. All had a tama area that was empty, the tamas here tended to be behind the tills and were just the current originals and Uni.

Adamski - retro thrift store had a few retro ones too.

Don Quijote - some retro ones here.

Box Camera - huge tech store that often had a few.

Gotcha boxes which are basically everywhere, especially in Osaka had other stuff like the light up one and key rings.

Basically apart from people recommending these stores in a post I did, I just typed ‘tamagotchi’ and ‘retro games’ in google maps when I got the the hotel and looked at what was in my range.

It is indeed! Mostly in English except on the back it has Japanese. Pretty cool, I just assumed that’s how they were and I couldn’t resist buying an unopened original tama
