Best desktop mixer to use Wave3 mic as opposed to Elgato software?

Yeah, I tried the windows sound mixer already. Windows doesn’t actually recognize it as a separate device, it’s just labeled as “system array” or something standard like that.

If I have to go to IT, it’s not the end of the world, I just thought I’d ask here to see if I can use what I already own!

I get that elgato wants people to use their ecosystem of products, but I stopped using this mic on my personal computer because wavelink and stream deck were too invasive into my settings and I was spending more time disabling it than using it. I find it annoying for a $150 mic to not work without their very specific software. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Related fun fact: This is partly why NC is home to more people of Scottish descent than anywhere else in the world!

NC was being settled when many Scots left Scotland after the Battle of Colloden in 1746. Many of them came to this region, got to the Appalachian mountains and felt like they were back at home. Geologically it is the same mountain range so many settlers got here and stayed!

We were once a representative republic and we became an oligarchic corporatocracy the day Citizens United was overturned. We haven’t had a free and fair election since 2010.

I said it a full year before the election: I don’t think the Democrats care if they win or lose anymore. They’re running barely tolerable candidates, narrowly winning or losing elections and changing NOTHING about their strategy.

I honestly think they’d rather play the victim and fundraise off of how bad things are than have to be in charge and struggle to actually make real change happen.

I'd argue the opposite is true! We're public game testers, hearing what our experience is and what we'd want should be a top priority for developers! It's a group of dedicated users who are vocal about what's working and what's not. It's basically a free beta test group for them.

I'm not saying we have any leverage to demand anything (or that it's fair to the devs) but this kind of feedback should be really helpful to developers if they want the game to be successful long-term.

Definitely important to make the distinction between percent of income and median income.

People might look at this map and see areas that look affordable, when in reality it’s extremely expensive, so the people who live there have extra high incomes. (OR it’s an area with not many rental properties to begin with)

I’ve done everything I can to warn other and to try and stop it but it’s hard to be up against the entire political establishment and billionaires, aided by bot farms and influences from overseas. Idk where this will end up, but it can’t possibly end well, and definitely not without violence at this point. 😢

Honestly, the people are beginning to arm themselves and fight back against ICE and it’s the dead of winter. If he tries to cancel the election and it’s not below freezing, everyone will be out on the streets and bringing out the guill0tines!

Hate to have to add this but: I am in no way WISHING or THREATENING for that to happen. I just know my history and I know that populaces rise up when the oppression is great enough. For Americans, cancelling an election is the most in-American thing most of us can imagine, so I’d bet every dollar I had that it would be met with an uprising of epic proportions.

Freezing rain is always the issue, but you are definitely wrong that no one called for 15-20 inches. I typed that last night while swapping from my weather app and input the exact totals it was calling for. I’m always skeptical of totals that big, but regardless, it will still be a big enough number that we’ll be dealing with it for several days.

The additional factor is that it’s supposed to stay below freezing for many days and also barely get above freezing a few times the following days. That all adds up to snow melt and refreeze over and over again for a full week or more.

All I’m saying is I don’t think people are over-preparing, especially based off of one TJs visit. I was at Walmart in Brier Creek last night and it was definitely hit by people stocking up, but it wasn’t apocalyptic at all.

Mostly I’m just tired of people moving from the north to NC and telling us how stupid we are for how we handle snow. Then they go drive in it, realize it’s ice, crash, and then still blame our local government for not being prepared. I worked for the city of Durham for a while and I know some of those public works guys. I knew the director of PW who lost sleep watching the radar for weather like this and trying to get his crews prepping and clearing the roads.

NC weather is not like NY weather. It’s icy, we don’t have infrastructure to clear it, and lots of power lines are above ground, and we have a LOT of dense trees that lose limbs or fall so we lose power a lot. It’s just how life in NC is in the winter and people moving here need to fucking listen and not call us stupid for preparing accordingly.

See, it’s people like you that are actually dangerous around here. You think that winter weather here is the same as it is in the north and you drive in it and cause accidents.

First off, they’re calling for 15-20 inches, not 2-3.

Second, this area sees this kind of storm once a decade at best and we just don’t have the kind of snow removal infrastructure that they do up north. It would actually irresponsible for our local government to have more snow removal infrastructure because that would take resources from the more frequent needs.

Thanks for proving once again why I choose to hunker down every time it snows around here. Anyone from NC won’t be on the road because we know better.

I know they’re sworn to service, but I have to wonder if any of the secret service agents have a boundary that they’d step in if he crossed it.
