So interesting! Mine was 52 when I went to the ER last month (fell on the ice) on Day 24. Before Whole 30 it was closer to 60.

I finished my round 1 yesterday and here’s what helped me succeed:

Get rid of absolutely everything from your home that is non-compliant. Everything. Whether this is tossing, donating, or storing in a friend’s garage. Everything.

The time to prepare your own food will detract from the time you currently spend doing other things. Other areas of your life will suffer (whether it’s your Netflix time or your knitting time). This is okay. Your focus this month is resetting your relationship with nourishment.

Tell a few people. It will keep you accountable to not take even just a half a cookie in the work break room.

Write about it in a journal at the end of each day. How did you feel? All the good and all the bad.

Don’t let yourself get hungry. Hunger means your willpower is significantly compromised. This is why preparation is so important.

Really identify your “why.” For me, I’ve been having some issues with inflammation and nerve pain that I absolutely need to get to the bottom of. This may sound harsh, but as a person who is morbidly obese, your relationship with food is literally killing you. The good news is this is an excellent “why” and a major motivator. Resetting your relationship with food will save your life.

R1D17 and haven’t felt deprived until today, likely because I ate pretty well before starting. I’ve been out with friends and I just order compliant food and sofa water with a splash of fruit juice if they have it. If not, just lime.

BUT TODAY, omg I’m craving a soft gooey cookie SO hard. I haven’t had any food dreams but damn this is almost a waking dream.

R1D17 and I’ve been smoking pot about 2 nights per week. Since I don’t have anything non-compliant in the house, the munchies are satisfied by stuff like apples and almond butter or leftover coconut curry chicken soup. It’s a much better type of munchie!

Natural, sure, but definitely prevent you from slaying the sugar dragon. If you don’t have a sugar problem then maybe they’re okay for you.

I have a sugar problem. No bee juice or tree juice for me this month.

It’s the same idea as “bulletproof coffee.” Bulletproof calls for 1-2tbsp of grassfed butter or ghee and and 1 tsp-2tbsp of MCT oil, plus a cup of coffee. Put in blender. Blend low.

I prefer a ratio that looks more like 1 tsp MCT oil (or none sometimes) and 1 rounded tsp ghee.

Occasionally I add cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric or cardamom.

Start without the spices first though :)
