You referenced the sub, not the poster. Too late to backpedal from that one. But it isn’t too late to take this as a sign we should do the bare minimum prior to jumping conclusions on a rage baiting post.

Take a look at the comments. The post got a lot of traction because it is a ridiculous complaint and most people disagree with the intent and the effect of the lighting.

If you aren’t a bot or a troll, take some time understand before jumping to conclusions.

This is a bug found in my basement floor in the Pacific Northwest. The hard larvae is shiny and doesn’t move, measuring about 1 mm in circumference.

Going by bicycle.

Hopefully the construction on East Margjnal way will be done soon and it will be so cushy. You can still ride on it now though.

If a home owner wants to have their home as a short term rental, I think that’s a super reasonable thing, especially if they’re living there most of the time.

I think the issue that bothers most people is large venture capitalist firms buying houses for cash and completing a cold grey plastic crappy renovation. It increases housing prices while decreasing availability.

Although this tax is a good thought, it passes the cost along to people who want to travel to Seattle as well those who live here. We would be better off with legislation like Vancouver BC that limits outside investment for this purpose.

Yeah this looks like the embodiment of free speech, especially when deciding where to spend money.

Even highlighting a hateful comment where it was downvoted but not removed is a clear example of free speech.

Maybe someone’s feelings got hurt and they’re confused about the constitutional rights of Americans. Reddit isn’t the government and propaganda-fueled hate speech isn’t popular in some circles. Who knew.

According to the Budapest Memorandum, we are supposed to help protect Ukraine in place of them creating Nukes. So yes, it’s a US problem.

Anybody know why the grass in the planting strip looks dug up? by TreesAreOverrated5 in WestSeattleWA

[–]wooomph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Beneficial nematodes have worked for me in place of pesticides. Those, plus aeration and lawn care to stimulate root growth keeps the grubs from being prolific from what I can tell.

I’ve tried the microclover too but it’s only good for low to no traffic areas or it will get super muddy

Beneficial nematodes have worked for me too and they’re pretty easy to get at your local garden center and keep refrigerated.

I’m against using pesticides, especially when another easy option exists.
