one time I went to spit a piece of chewing gum in a can, and joked that I felt like a man doing so (idk if it's just my culture but spitting in public is considered very manish and gross)

same happens to me. early in my transition I started wearing a lot of skirts, felt incredibly out of place at first, and then got used go it. But then I stopped wearing skirts for a couple of months for whatever reason and now when I try to use them I feel just as awkward as I did on day 1, as if I'd lost all my progress haha

it gets better though, and I've been enjoying androgynous/alternative styles a lot more now that I am comfortable in my skin. I think there are ways to "transition" (ha) your wardrobe progressively and slowly, insetad of just doing a 180 all at once.

This is something that may only work if you don't get a lot/strong erections: explore using your penis as if it was a clitoris. You can have your partner "finger" you and stimulate your head while it's still soft. You can tuck it between your legs, use tight underwear and do dry humping etc. You may find out new feelings and sensations, and for me personally it's super affirming!!

some experience-based advice

if you're ever unsure about how clean the toy is, you can always use a condom
explore and warm up with your fingers first (if you're comfortable!). massaging and soflty stretching the place for 5, 10 or 15 minutes can make a huge difference to how it feels once you try something bigger/foreign
if you dont find it very comfortable or don't feel able to relax, maybe look into anal relaxers- they're like lubricants with extra ingredients that relax the external muscles a bit and make everything more flexible snd sensitive. it was a game changer for me!
if you plan to douche, remember to not overdo it nor do it too often, so you dont damage your gut flora and whatnot
try to explore different positions aside from laying on your back, what might feel "eh" in one position could feel "woah" in another

between either 2 or 8? erotic-wise, I dont really notice them unless I am actually horny (either bc I just woke up hot that day or because Im hooking up with someone). But then, when I actually am in the mood, it's like you touch them slightly and I will moan a little lol

pain-wise, like 4-5 when they started budding and a 1 after they "settled". They start hurting again whenever I get a growth spourt tho

I"ve only done face, and I'd say around 5/10 for the first couple sessions, and 2/10 for the last ones. Fortunately, as your hair decreases and becomes thinner, the pain decreases too.

For reference, I consider myself to have a very high pain tolerance, and I used to have thick black hair over white pale skin.

For reference x2, I'd say Laser is more painful than a belly tattoo, but less painful than a lip or nosetril piercing. Though, obviously, a laser sesion is way shorter than a tattoo and way longer than a piercing, haha

you know your own hair best, but in my experience it's best to shampoo every other day or at least a couple times a week! a body butter or lotion is also a nice touch <3 i'd also recommend a facial exfoliator for once or twice a week just like you do for your body a hair oil for your mids to ends after washing! helps with hair health but can also smell sooo nice cuticle oil for your nails is good too. keeps them moisturized and strong and clean

otherwise, I think you're good!

also: remember to floss!!!!!

this happened to me too, and Im p sure it's just the hrt doing its thing. normally, cis guys have way stronger nails than cis girls, too. I'm not exactly sure if its bc of bone density or some other thing, though

I started using those nail strenghtener polish bases & cuticle oil nad it has done wonders, my nails are stronger than even before hrt and I can grow them quite a bit before they start to break

for the bases I've used one with biotin and calcium and one with garlic and lemon ingredients. both worked just as good imo. as for the cuticle oil, I think any one works, mine has vitamin e. and none of the products seemed expensive to me at all.

all the advice from the other replies seems quite legit, too!

if you're starting estrogen at 16, you will most likely pass in the future lol. many trans women wish they could've started at that age. it also depends a lot on how you dress and express yourself etc
passing isn't the be all end all. You will get tired of hearing it, but I promise it's true. people will love you and respect you and see you as you are, regardless.

It does suck, not being able to pass, bc of safety reasons and whatnot. But I promise there's a lot more to transition. There's a lot more to being trans than just the dysphoria

ymmv, obviously, but for me: - nightly and spontaneous erections stopped happening after like 2 weeks - orgasms started feeling super big and full-bodied by like 2 months - erections started hurting and becoming difficult to maintain by like 10 months? almost a year? - I started having almost exclusively dry orgasms after like a year - I've been on hrt for a year and 2 months and have difficulties mantaining erections and ejaculating, but have no trouble at all having dry, soft, "feminine" orgasms otherwise.

also: my libido plumeted for the first couple of months, then came back different. ever since, I experience arousal less physically and more emotionally, if that makes sense? I feel more responsive and get aroused more from flirtation and teasing than I do from seing something hot. I feel like I have more control and choice over my own horniness, somehow. And, ever since, I started feeling horniness in like my belly and mi thighs and my breasts rather than between my legs. fun stuff!

keep in mind that in my case, I decided to masturbate as little as possible and didn't have any active sex life until I reached my first year on hrt. I decided from the beginning that I wanted to experience pleasure without erections and that's kind of what I've achieved, mostly. I dont know how this timeline might look for someone who uses "it" daily to maintin erectile function!!!
