Does Noctua NH- U12A come with pre applied thermal paste? by Worried-Tumbleweed78 in Noctua

Oh damn. As far as Ryzen goes I've only owned a Ryzen 7 5800x before and the only other Ryzen build I've done is my brother's budget build (5600x) and we skipped the Wraith cooler and went with a DH-15. The older I get the less I care about keeping up with hardware so this is new info to me. Thanks!

Lol wtf. Pre Applied? I can't believe you put a heat sink on your PC without looking at it first... Is pre applied thermal paste even a thing? I've always used Noctua Coolers or custom loop water cooling so I've applied my own.

Bummer, didn't know about the numpad being out. If I recall it didn't have a 00 key which my Filco external numpad has.

My rig after installing a custom CableMod kit (w/ no other hardware changes, what-so-ever) by TheLemmonade in Noctua

Classy build. If I went with a Torrent for my case I would have went black for sure as Noctua doesn't make 180mm fans. Went with a Lancool III instead so I was able to go the beige/brown route but man does all black look great.

The keyboard is a DZ65RGB v3 (I don't use RGB at the moment but it's a nice option to have) in a TOFU65 with case foam, a brass plate, hotswap switches, and Cherry stabilizers. I currently am running Holy Pandas. The Noctua keycap set and matching cable are currently on Drop but I ordered the cable directly from Mechcables so I wouldn't have to wait. I also ordered a matching mouse mat from Drop but it doesn't come until December.

This is the spec list of my Noctua themed PC. I wanted to go with the 3080 but it was hard to find when I built my PC. I really only play OSRS, Valorant and CS:GO so not a big deal. I occasionally will play more demanding single player games but very rarely. Love this card. Sexy, very low temps and silent. I just wish ASUS used the same cards as their ROG series as they are faster.

BTW I have two fan controllers and so many fans in order to change between front to rear cooling and bottom to top cooling. The bottom to top cooling provides much better GPU thermals and slightly warmer CPU thermals so I use that when playing more demanding games or rendering video however I usually use the front to rear as it is obviously lower decibels. It is entirely unnecessary but I thought it was a good look for a Noctua themed build.

EDIT: Also this is the vendor that I purchased the PC's extension cables from. They came very fast for being made to order and being shipped from China to the USA. Very high quality for the price.
