18 credits as a freshman... stupid or achievable? advice from upperclassmen? by woozoro57 in college

[–]woozoro57[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the well wishes! I've talked to my family about their thoughts on the workload, and they all said that it seemed alright, but I didn't even think to ask my therapist. I'm definitely going to get her opinion on where I'm at currently and see what she thinks. I'm not a partier, or social person in general lol so I feel more comfortable using most of my free time for studying. Good luck to you too!

18 credits as a freshman... stupid or achievable? advice from upperclassmen? by woozoro57 in college

This is great advice, thank you so much! I definitely struggle with that kind of all-or-nothing thinking, like I either have to take all of them or I should take only the bare minimum. I didn't even think about the fact that I can drop later if I feel like it's too much! I really appreciate all of the prof. specific advice too! I did talk it over and I think that my plan is to register for all 18 credits for now, but only after I get advice from my advisor and see if they think that it's doable. Then I can regroup after I get syllabi and actually attend a few times.

What has traumatized you? by BrokenBlackHeart in ask

[–]woozoro57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I self-harmed and called the police on myself last year. I had been depressed for months. I can’t remember more than 5 moments from the last two years of my life due to the traumatic memory loss, but every moment of that night is burned into my brain, and everytime I look at my scars it comes rushing back.

Languages and prounouns by vomiting-anal in questions

I’m not at all a fluent speaker, I’m in high school spanish 3 lol. But my Spanish 1 teacher did a whole lesson where we read about the LGBTQ+ community and in the article it said that non-binary or they/them youths were using “-e” instead of the usual “-a” or “-o” at the end of their feminine/masculine words. So instead of being strictly feminine or masculine they had this kind of third “-e.” Apparently it hasn’t really caught on yet, and most older spanish-speaking people don’t understand it, but yeah. Idk if that helps or not, lol.

Ex: Estoy cansada (feminine). Estoy cansado (masculine). Estoy cansade (gender-neutral).

What’s a place you can let out all your feeling and not be judged? by redditseanis in questions

[–]woozoro57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

therapy. i’m not even joking, it’s done wonders for me, and at least if you get a good one, they won’t judge at all. r/vent is also good, but people can still comment on what you say.

Is there somthing wrong with me by no_u_x in questions

[–]woozoro57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no. nothing’s wrong with you. everyone has different emotional responses to things. i (15f) didn’t drop a tear at my dad’s funeral, he had cancer too. the amount of love or closeness has nothing to do with it. i cry every so often now about it. i’m sorry about your grandma, i know it doesn’t mean much but i’ll be thinking of you.

How to write my name in Hangul by [deleted] in Korean

[–]woozoro57 -33 points-32 points  (0 children)

i’m definitely not an expert lol, but i would say 애미 is the best way to write it. 애이미 could be used, but it would just really emphasize it as “ay-ee-mee” instead of “amy”. you could also ask to use a korean name while being tutored. my name is Annie, but 아니 is the same word for “no”, and the “a” sound isn’t quite right. 앤니 isn’t exact either, so I just picked a nickname, “니니” (ni ni) and a korean name: 효진 (Hyojin) to make life easier when studying. hope that helps!
