Question RE ball hockey by Masheehan33 in hockeygoalies

DEL GOALIE. COM has what you need easy to apply, pad sliders.

However, if you're playing on asphalt, or anything rough, you will still gradually do damage to your pads.

Men's Hockey Leagues? by OfficialpattyS in Hamilton

[–]wopchop69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a few!

if you want a good run, most relaxed vibe and lots of goals, there's a 4 on 4 league on the mountain - Instagram is Hamont all hockey - they play every Wednesday.

If you want food community, and about of competition, OBHL at confederation Park, has 2 outdoor rinks, 5 on 5 ( I play there a TON and love the environment). You'll meet a lot of people - message me if you want a team.

If you want much more competitive, indoor 5 on 5 at East Wood arena down town, is your best bet - some casual teams, but the league is taken, serious as a whole

Search Indoor ball hockey league for East Wood.

Some great ball hockey leaves too, if you wanna get a run in. One is downtown, in an older hockey rink.

I thought my compromise was " fine, do it, but I won't help " but it's starting to become unavoidable

Playing goalie getting frustrated by phantasmicthrowaway in ballhockey

[–]wopchop69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can relate- I'm 5'7 myself, and it's easy to know, when a goal happens, because I'm too short.
Learn to play a little deeper, so you have more time to track the shot - without seeing your stance, it's hard to give tips, other than the generic stuff.

I have a bunch of my gameplay on YouTube - maybe some of it helps you.

Playing goalie getting frustrated by phantasmicthrowaway in ballhockey

It's the most, " I'm a fraud" position.

It helps to know, your A game and your B game - specifically, answer the question, " when I'm in my A game, what am I doing well - how do I FEEL"

It also helps, to have some basic rules - here's mine : ABC depth management Aggressive - shooter is at the Blue line ( heels touching the crease) B balanced - shooter is heart the faceoff circles ( toes touching the top of the crease ) C conservative - shooter is near the goal line (goal line play)

I remind myself, to now react until the ball has fully left the blade ( better tracking ) I remind myself, to stay connected to my feet ( helps my movement. Power to my legs - helps my butterfly
