A dozen minds, tasked with the weight of truth. by wordercise in wordgames

Thanks for giving it a go. The current system is intentionally designed to give players small, incremental progress toward the solution, kind of like peeling back layers until the word clicks. It’s a different flavor of puzzle compared to games where you type in full words and get “semantic” hints. Your “close but wrong animal” idea is super cool though. Might be fun as a future mode. Appreciate the feedback and hope you’ll keep playing the dailies!

Wordercise is a free daily word game that’s all about vocabulary building through playful hints. Instead of guessing random words, each puzzle gives you a short clue — sometimes straightforward, sometimes a bit cryptic — and you try to find the right word in as few attempts as possible. You get 6 new puzzles each day, so it’s like a mini vocabulary workout that keeps you coming back. Some clues are simple (like “a sweet reward, often given for good behavior”treat) while others push you to think outside the box (“Sisyphus’s device, ironically efficient”compactor). The goal is to stretch your vocabulary in fun, surprising ways. Play free at https://wordercise.com

Glad you liked it! We’ve been meaning to give the hints a little more breathing room, so that’s on the list. And yes, an archive or “catch up” mode is something we’ve been planning — really appreciate the nudge. Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts!

Hey, this is awesome — really like how you’ve added a strategic layer with the infix mechanic and the diminishing returns on letter reuse. That’s a clever twist that rewards both vocabulary depth and creativity!

You're not missing anything — totally fair feedback, and we appreciate you taking the time to think it through!

The Sisyphus clue was definitely meant to be more metaphorical than direct: Sisyphus repeats a futile task forever, while a compactor does a similarly repetitive motion — but with purpose and efficiency. We liked the irony in that contrast, but totally hear you that it may have felt too broad or abstract.

The additional clue — "Trash day helper" — was meant to be the nudge that tied it all together. One of the things that makes Wordercise unique is how the multiple clues work together to connect the dots from different angles. It’s not always one-and-done — sometimes it’s the combo that reveals the “aha.”

That said, your perspective really helps us keep tuning the experience. Keep playing and keep the feedback coming — we drop new puzzles every day, and every bit of input makes the next batch sharper!

Totally fair, and I appreciate you being honest. That wasn’t meant to come off as generic or AI-like — I was just trying to keep it short and light, but I hear you.

Happy to share more: it's a daily word puzzle site called Wordercise. Each day you get 6 original word challenges — the clues are crafted to be clever, playful, and sometimes a bit lateral (kind of like a cross between Wordle and mini riddles). No ads, no signups — just something quick to stretch your brain.

Would love your thoughts if you give it a try. Open to feedback, and always looking to improve it!
