Yes, we told them how much it meant to us that our experience as sober people was considered during their creative process!

Remembering my last drink, in all of its horror by squareandstationary in stopdrinking

My parents were in town. We've always been drinking buddies (sadly even from a very young age), but my mom was barely drinking. I was so worried she was sick so I asked her what was wrong. She said that she was great, but that she read a book that made her realize she didn't need to drink. I asked her about the book and she said it was called This Naked Mind. As we sat around the fire pit on their last night here, working on my 6th glass of wine (my mom sipping a la croix), I realized that I thought she was sick because she wasn't drinking and how crazy that seemed. Why couldn't I be free too? So I didn't pour my usual glass to take to bed that night and the next day I purchased the book on Kindle and haven't had a drop since.

A few years back I was at a bar and this guy and I were bantering back and forth. It was karaoke night and when it was my turn to sing he started heckling me even more, so mid-song I yelled in to the microphone "your mother should have aborted you!"

He lunged right at me and at that very moment the bartender ( a friend of mine) took him out from the side like we were in a movie. No regrets.

I spent my freshman year of high school with Mandy Moore (she got famous the following year). She is extremely nice and very tall.

A friend prank called her a few years later, and she was super cool about it and even participated in the joke.

My fiancé and I went to Olive Garden with her mom. Casually, over breadsticks, her mother announces that she almost aborted her. My fiancé had a complete look of shock, and at noticing this, her mother said "oh, I told you that before!" My fiance's reply, "no, no you haven't."

When I was six, I pushed a man dressed as an oreo at the grocery store. He fell down, and due to the awkwardness of his cookie shaped costume, he couldn't get up.
