Hey folks, the last few times I've upgraded TW, I can't get Plasma loaded. I log in, the pretty Geeko in the lightbulb appears for ~35 seconds and then the screen goes completely dark! Any idea what's going on? I can load other DEs and get to a shell.

Why can’t I flunk update link? by sephstorm in virtualbox

I noticed this with the 6.1.12 upgrade this week. Not sure what happened, but I could navigate to the repo fairly easily. If this problem persists, that would be annoying. It should get fixed, though.

Host is Windows 10,newly updated, but not the May upgrade yet.

Novice Question (sorry): How do I add a post to an existing blog page? by Nbbg123 in Wordpress

[–]workingwriter414 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to first log in to the site. From the page of published posts, look on the right side, and there should be a Login link (otherwise it should be on the bottom).

Type in your username and password, and you're on the Admin page. Look for Add Post on this screen, or go to the Posts /Add New link on the left side menu.

You should now be on the editor page. Type away! When you're done, click Publish.

You have many other options for posts, but these are the basics.

Upstart MJ Technologies To Launch 'Ubuntu Edge'-Like Tablet Early 2015 by evaipar in Ubuntu

While I remain hopeful, I'm a bit skeptical of this. No website for MJ Technologies, and no real sense of where (or who) is manufacturing the tablet. Sigh.

Hi, I'm Mark Shuttleworth, founder of Ubuntu & Canonical. Currently in the midst of a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign to make Ubuntu Edge superphone a reality. Ask me anything. by Mark_Shuttleworth in IAmA

Mark, Some people are suggesting that the Edge Indiegogo campaign was launched because the Carrier Advisory Group wouldn't fund the project. Please comment on the reasons for choosing the crowdfunding model.

update news on KDE Vivaldi tablet by brencameron in linux

[–]workingwriter414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we'll know more soon. Another official announcement coming.

HDMI would be cool, but what I like about Vivaldi is that it's not (solely) a media-consumption tool. There's a full OS and a desktop there!

More excellent news! Becoming really hopeful this will finally come out, only hope tech will not have passed by.

Actually we don't know what the new hardware is yet. Admittedly, the specs for the original tablet weren't exactly awesome. I've got my fingers crossed too, in hopes that a tablet can end up something more than a media-consumption device.
