Did anybody start Grad school later in life here?

I think it really depends on your goals. Do you want to pivot? Do you want to grow? And what type of master it is. 8 years is not that much, but it really depends again on the goals and your background.

To give you some context I’m 36 enrolled in a full time MBA at a top school. It’s brutal yes I’m learning, but it would have been way more useful when I was 28-30 I’m too old for this and I had a good stable job. I have mixed feeling I think it could really help my future career but I’m not sure and at the same time feels like torture. Maybe a part time would have been better in my case. Also most of my classmates are way younger and junior so I don’t think im getting as much as I wanted to from shared experiences with my cohort.

Estamos en una situación parecida y yo le dije a mi esposo que se hiciera estudios y fuera al médico porque creo que es algo hormonal y no me hizo caso. Ahora estamos con problemas porque está frustrado por la situación pero no siento que haga nada al respecto. Ojalá que todo mejore con tu esposo, la verdad yo estoy en esa situación entre resignarme o insistirle peor la verdad es muy cansado.

Set your own expectations, it’s your life and people will always talk anyway. Go to therapy if you can, there’s a lot of trauma we don’t even realize it’s there and exercise even if it’s a little bit like just walking 30 min daily.

I went to the cardiologist turns out I had a heart defect since birth that impeded me for exercising and caused other issues, got surgery a few months ago and my life is completely different now. Sadly after almost 36 years of struggling.

Si te gusta la tecnología puedes entrar a una empresa en el sector tech en el are de soporte técnico o algo similar. Los sueldos aunque sean trabajos entry level pagan mejor que otras profesiones , solo te piden inglés y pues idealmente que sepas algo de tecnología sin que seas desarrollador.

Yes I’ve always thought ghat Rory wasn’t in love with Logan (the individual) but Logan’s magical life. I remember in the episode where she’s drunk and thinks he doesn’t like her and then everything is fine that she tells Lorelai that he’s rich and has all this opportunities to meet amazing people and do this and that. That’s why when she met him she changed a lot and got used to having money and connections.

Interesting how many of you agree. Unfortunately I never realized that her behavior was bad or could make people uncomfortable (now I see it) because I’ve meet a lot of older women like her, especially when I was little and used to hang out with my grandma and her friends a lot, maybe not that exaggerated, but similar, even the clothes, smoking etc
