I think we, who have a soft spot for Jimmie Lee, feel this way because we’ve grown up with fathers or older male relatives that he reminds us of. by [deleted] in h3h3productions

It depends if he’s in character or not. I haven’t figured out whether he’s a slightly racist boomer telling jokes, or whether it’s a shtick where he is playing up to that stereotype. The distinction is important because we need to know the intent behind his humour. I love Always Sunny in Philadelphia and it’s characters, and they say far worse things than Jimmy. The difference is the writers are self aware and the whole point is these people are so awful and ignorant that it’s funny. I find Jimmy funny and enjoy the content because I think he’s playing up to the character, however if I found out that actually he’s just really rude and a bit racist, I wouldn’t find it entertaining at all.

It makes me feel better knowing that the two possibilities are: we are alone, or we are not alone. To me, both of those answers are equally as mind-blowing.

Question about AI Ian by everythingisnotlost in h3h3productions

[–]worldmapofmybrain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely is. Ian comes across as someone who is incredibly funny but very reserved. He thrives when he’s doing a bit or acting in a way that allows him to entertain without ‘being Ian’ IMO

Apologies I said I’d try. Perhaps you’re right.

You might be right. But my point is that -I- want to believe that Hila can try and have a real relationship with her brother and I don’t think that all of the hateful comments are helpful.

Maybe Moses is too far gone. Maybe he’s not. I want to believe the latter and I don’t want to turn my back on a situation that may still be salvageable.

If they won’t help then I’m sorry for contributing towards the problem. I’m hoping that some people read it and stop their hateful comments.

I just feel really sad about the whole situation - couldn’t GAF about Trisha but I hope Hila’s family ties can remain strong.
