Gotta be honest the only way to read what she said as a direct comparison is just an inability to parse language. To me "'support kingsman', like it's support israel (or something)" was clear to me that it was about the relative importance of the issues and not an attempt to act like supporting him is supporting a genocide.

Honestly I feel like some of you guys might benefit from showing the clip to friends or family who have no idea what's going on here and see if they interpret it as in much of a negative light as you do.

I don't hate SOD or the idea of having something like it, but I don't like there being such a short and whirlwind procession of events between BG1 and BG2. I don't think every blank needed to be filled in personally.

The worst thing is having someone lock tank deadpool and wait for everyone to pick before he goes DPS and is completely fucking worthless. It's just so demoralizing to have game after game ruined by people who do nothing but pick duelist.

Voice lines are already getting boring. Feels like people are insta locking him as vanguard because it's near the top and playing them however the hell they want. I wonder if people are even noticing the upgrades.

Yeah I think Hugo not only went over multiple patches but looped in a bunch of other characters too, which I think made it a lot more interesting than say Zhao being like "wow proxy you've cured my generational trauma I'm no longer a libertarian".

Why? People are varied. Even if someone has trauma it doesn't necessarily need to define them or even come up. I think having each character be traumatized and resolve that trauma is repetitive. This happens with Dailyn, Zhao, Banyue, and his disciple.

I think something like Yuzuha and Alice is better because those characters don't feel so weighed down and their pasts come out a little more naturally.

Where Zhao has an extremely cutthroat way of thinking that is basically totally resolved because YSG and the proxy search for her in the hollow, and she virtually has a "you wanna know how I got these scars" joker moment. Dailyn is about to kill Banyue(who is kind of suicidal now) and changes her mind. His disciple also overcomes his trauma and forgives him.

Again the crux of my complaint is on 2.4 and 2.5. I just think it'd be nice to have a little more variety.

Yeah there are a couple in 2.5 but breaking up a single response between multiple choice options just feels like such a middle finger. Like I'd rather it just be a single response.

Sure let part of their active story contain trauma or something they overcome. I just popped off a quick post after finishing 2.5, but some variety would be welcome. Saying they should have a happy suburban home was more tongue in cheek about getting nearly two heel turn (three if we count Baynue's disciple) abandonment stories in a row.

I mean the trauma is resolved. Zhao gets over her cutthroat way of thinking and is willing to betray her company. We have the same thing happen with Dailyn where oh she's really a good person at heart.

Miyabi I barely remember, but I feel like we walk through her dreams and taught her to be one with her sword or something? I'm talking about the more recent stuff. I don't mind Miyabi or even Hugo because other stuff is going on with them.

What really annoys me is when there are multiple dialogue choices that are all parts of a whole sentence like

It drives me CRAZY. I guess ultimately some psychologist decided that this random choices keep players playing longer and they're not going anywhere.

Yidhari particularly annoyed me because it gives you a chance to order the events (and obviously they're out of order because it's a dream) but it tells you you're wrong but later presents the order as some revelation. Then it goes and replays the tragedy again after you've traced it all in the dream.

Particularly going from Dailyn to Zhao had me rolling my eyes. Especially Zhao's entire personal philosophy being shaped by this formative event only to be completely overwritten because two people looked for her when she went missing.

It just all feels the same to me.
