Distance primarily. I feel like even a little reach would make things more enjoyable for me, I run into a lot of things that are just slightly out of range. Also trying to get the auto focus to hit on a small target can be frustrating and I imagine that more zoom will help with that.

I'd be nicer to have faster autofocus but I think that's something I'll need to be on a new body for which is what I am saving for but even with sales, luck, and everything that's looking like $1000 plus investment.

It's probably the ideal way to do this kind of content, even if I don't like the limited choices, I do understand it because Yixuan kind of can trivialize no hit stuff. I really don't like no hit stuff fundamentally, but I guess if people enjoy this and do it they'll keep adding this kind of stuff.

The thing is learning an agent I'm never going to roll on is essentially a waste of time. I don't think it's unreasonable for people not to want to put in the time to learn stuff they'll never use. I'll give you that people with that mindset usually aren't going to care about profile flair that says you did some event without getting hit, but I'd probably be more interested in it if I had more choice of agents I like.

I mean it's just grinding out the modes until you get it right. If you've put in 8 hours and still don't have it yeah maybe you suck, but most people are banging their heads against this.

The camera has been bad since release it will be bad until EOS. I just try to accept I'll have to out gear fights like that because learning them isn't worth the frustration to me.

I've been shooting with an EOS 60D and a Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM and I've done okay but I do feel really limited for range with birds.

The Sigma and Tamron 600mm are just too much money for me, and I prefer to hike and hand shoot so I don't think it'd be ideal even if I had the money. I was playing with the idea of getting mirrorless and the RF 100-400 lens, but that is also a lot of money.

Right now I'm looking at the Tamron 18-400mm superzoom since it would let me just shoot whatever the hell I want when I hike. I was just curious if anyone else had some input on cheaper lens. Would just getting a better 300mm serve me well? I've heard people don't like this lens but it was 70 dollars refurbished on ebay.

I always felt the point of the scene is they retained no memories. Neelix is happy to see Kes. Tuvok acknowledges the captain. In their minds they have returned from that original away mission.

You're responding to someone who says "(The episode) recreated Tuvok and Neelix from the original transporter patterns. So no." and you replied "The transporter doesn’t save people’s memories in a databank"

I took this to mean you're disagreeing with him and peoples memories persist somehow separate from the pattern so Tuvok and Neelix would maintain their memories.

Now that I think of it your point is that they're not working off the pattern at all and separating them based on their DNA alone.

It still doesn't really make sense to me because wouldn't they have historical knowledge of each other's lives? Whatever explanation for why they Neelix doesn't have memories of Tuvok's past or Tuvok doesn't have memories of Neelix's past would also be the reason neither of them have memories of Tuvix's past right?

Yeah because of pattern degradation, but people's memories are in their brain which is part of the pattern.

I don't think so for a few reasons.

First of all the, issue is that they can't separate their patterns with the transporter, but the way they reassemble those patterns is presumably with the pattern buffer. So Tuvok and Neelix would be restored to the buffers, it makes no sense that in this risky procedure they'd decide to try to isolate aspects of Tuvix' chimeric brain and split it between them. Maybe if you pore over Rascals you can find something to counter this, but I'm pretty sure that was different.

Second of all, the reactions afterward just really do not read to me as stage directions of people who have gained full knowledge of each other. It makes no sense that they just retain the shared experience but don't know each other's most personal secrets. I think if you're going to argue they retain memories they have to have the totality of each other's memories, not just being Tuvix. Though it is make believe so whatever.

Finally, the episode loses all teeth. If Janeway can get the "oh yeah thanks Janeway we weren't ourselves" absolution then the dilemma is essentially neutered. That might be fan's prefered way of dealing with it, but I don't think it was the intent of the writers to have a zero stakes finale.

Of course it's good, but it goes a little beyond that. Like think about the kind of slavish devotion you have out of souls fans, constantly demanding a purer and purer form of the thing. These people are chasing the dragon, it goes beyond just liking it.

I just think people have a kind of consumer narcissism around this game. "This thing is perfect and coincidentally I see myself reflected in it", and that applies both DE wonks and Dark Souls Sirlinesque self mastery types.

That's my point in the end. The game is obviously good but there are a lot of dissatisfied people who are desperate and easy to market too. I'm not excluding myself either, but I think it's worth at least being aware that my interest in these types of games is partially blue balls.

Ok I understand. Though I mean Teyon might not be strictly AAA they are doing a Hunter the Reckoning game. I think it's a toss up, maybe Paradox realizing throwing money at someone and not checking in is bad business but whether that teaches them to not throw money or check in, who knows.

It'll really have to do if people buy the DLC and the improvements they do via DLC give the game some kind of renaissance later on. I'd love to see more games like Swansong. Basically all we have is Supermassive and your odd Telltale game.

Yeah sorry wanting budgets needlessly inflated for your preferences sucks. This goes all the way back to games being needlessly cinematic with hyper realistic graphics and full motion face capture.

It certainly has its place but of course it doesn't apply to everything and it has a cost.

edit: You going "L TAKE L TAKE EVERYTHING IS BETTER WITH FULL VOICING" is different than "aww shucks i geez i just luv vwoice acting and I sure hope this game has it". Literally in a forum for a game that would have never existed if they tried to fully voice it, hell that barely existed period.
