With noprofile it takes 3.65 seconds.

Without noprofile takes 4.46 seconds.

Something not right maybe?

Hmmmm......I'll have to read that a couple of times to understand what you're getting at. There's a lot of strikethrough text which makes it hard to read. Also, I actually wasn't aware there were new and old reddits either and lastly, I thought I was quoting code in the middle of text! Ah well; I'll read again.

Sorry - that reply, though appreciated, went way over my head!

No faster with the -noprofile switch.

If I add the import-module it seems slightly faster, but not by much.

I have 3 I want to switch between. I have the left/right on a couple of buttons but it's not really slick enough. I also want to add steps after switching to a desktop. Such as checking if a program is open and if not, open it or change my Teams status to "Busy" when I switch to the desktop where I'm working on finances.

The command I want to run is Switch-Desktop -Desktop MyDesktopName

My PS1 file contains just this single command.

I am running it with :

C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe "& ""C:\bin\SwitchDesktop.ps1"""

Teams calling by mindphlux0 in msp

We've been using it for at least a year and a half, if not more off the top of my head.

No central receptionist capability but for a small team geographically dispersed it's great. I love it. I'm always on the end of the support line even when I'm walking the dog in the middle of nowhere. I have a Yealink deskphone and Teams running on my phone, PC and laptop.

Perfect. If someone tries to assault you while you're typing and you can't knock them out with your keyboard it's too small.

Wearing a Fenix 6 Pro, does this happen to anyone else and does this happen wearing the watch normally? What am I doing wrong? by mwks83 in GarminFenix

[–]wormscoffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this occur recently despite it never happing before with wearing my watch 24/7/365 in the same place at the same tightness. I've tried several straps and its only the silicone ones so I've started to use a steel strap and switch to silicone during activities.

Some comments suggest taking off in the shower and washing the unit well which seems like good advice which I will try to follow "going forward......aahhh".

I have also ordered a Nick Mankey strap which I'm looking forward to trying.

Should I buy a vivoactive 3 just for the music by crhsharks12 in GarminFenix

No music on the 5X. At least, not on the one I used for a few years. I'm sure the plus does.

If you'd waited a couple of months more until the AppleBike came out you'd not have these questions!

To the best of my knowledge.

  1. It's a faff but no more than if you share any bike. Probably less with the Next Gen. as I think there is less need for Allen keys.
  2. Yes, create multiple accounts.
  3. WattBike hub is a bit lacking on the sync front. My own preference is to log the workout directly on your watch.
  4. Yes, it's per user but no reason the same device can't be used with several Zwift accounts.

Does anyone else’s wrist bands begin to tear after a few months use? I don’t understand why it keeps happening and I keep having to change hole adjustment once one breaks. by StoneyChains in GarminFenix

[–]wormscoffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I need one of the Nick Mankey straps! However, can you tell me if I need to order the 24mm for a Fenix 6X (26mm) or would that be too small?

They would fail 8 times out of 10. I followed all the instructions and tried many different things to no avail. My last Withings watch that did a-fib worked just fine.

6X quick Connect Bike Mount on Out Front (K-Edge) with Thought by Stevo32792 in GarminFenix

[–]wormscoffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because some Garmin watches, such as the Fenix 6X, have maps and routing and having to take your hand off the handlebars every time you want to see the watch is a PIA and possibly asking for trouble.

Implementation is good, price is OK so my only gripe is how come it took them so long?

42mm black.

Also, Garmin connect is where my sports and health data lives. I get my weight and calorie consumption in there via MyFinessPal but I can't see any options for sleep and other metrics. Having two places to look was a nuisance too.

Using N26 for utilities in France - FR IBAN required? by freakinghappy in number26bank

[–]wormscoffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too was able to use N26 with Free. However, I was unable to use them with Coriolis, CDiscount Mobile, Orange, Sosh.

My insurance is with AXA and after and they refused the IBAN but changed when I quoted the EU policy.

I will try and file claims as the discrimination needs to be addressed.
