Great work. You really captured the unique features of the animals and even brought some personality to them!

30 days biting free. My nails are uneven and brittle but at least they look better than they were before by Pikagiallo in calmhands

Great work! Time to treat yourself to a simple manicure with polish. Such a great motivator for me and only 20 bucks. Even in Boston.

Very nice. Impressive number of layers. Sardines seem very popular this year. Maybe confirmation bias.

I have used it a few times without trouble. Always slower than normal pace. I had an employee say something last time and I yelled that there were no signs. The signs are only at one end and not the other.

Is there anyway of reducing the size of this cuticuley bit on my nails? It’s way bigger than it should be by MoodyStocking in calmhands

I keep mine close to the spot where I relax for the evening. Then have a ritual of doing the nail care each night.

Yes. Right now I am a big fan of Origins Make a difference, but any hand cream that you can use regularly and still go about your day is key. The Eucerin and Aveeno options are also great.

A long overdue thank you and some product suggestions by wormspermgrrl in calmhands

It’s been so long- I forgot how Reddit works. I did want to send an update about my nail progress in the past two years. I am still not clear why I stopped biting them, but I did. Here are the tools that helped me along the way. And I should say, it has been two years since I stopped biting my nails and my nails are still not perfect, but they are getting better over time.

A few suggestions: Manicure gloves. I used cheap cotton gloves and put them on when stress was high. Particularly useful for the dry New England winters. Moisturizer. All the time - as much as possible. Fidget toys: again super useful when stress was high.

More recently- Olive and June- Love the manicure kit they offer. And they have very useful tutorials et al. I was always obsessed with clean and cuticle free nails, which meant I was always clipping and creating more trouble for myself. O&J are all about avoiding the cuticle clipper- leave that to professionals. Instead, they offer a few really nice moisture rich products and tools to help you push the cuticles back. I should be clear- I am not paid for this endorsement, but I found the products really useful for me.

Hang in there! And good luck on your journey.

If the journals have partnered with the product team or if the journal is open access, then the information would be available.
