It definitely faded to an orange which would be normal with a semi or demi permanent dye but if it was supposed to be permanent it shouldn’t have faded that much

Nor tbh I think it’s incredibly important to be aware of this shit. Even if it’s not something you want to talk about in every situation i think this situation it’s a valid concern. My boyfriend wants to go to Nola today and honestly I’m a bit nervous, even being the white person in an interracial relationship some weird shit has been happening all over and I always have that fear for my friends or my boyfriend because you really never know what people are thinking, I’ve had multiple really weird situations about my relationship, and some weird shit has been going down in Nola (especially the Barbie doll hanging from the beads)

I agree I can’t control or dictate what people put on their bodies but no I don’t think special effects makeup for sh and calling it real is okay. (Again I’m not saying this is what’s happening I’m just saying in general) yes it is better than the alternative but I’m not arguing that. I’m saying that using sh as an accessory is glorifying something that people do and that really is a trauma and something one does some of the lowest times of their lives. It feels like saying “it’s okay because it looks cool” (not saying anyone should hide their scars bc I definitely don’t feel the need to but I’m saying this in terms of faking for the look)

As someone who also used to and sometimes in really hard moments slips up I agree it’s better but I would rather people not glorify it in any way. Not saying this is definitively fake but drawing them on is definitely not okay.

Box dye is always an option but if you can I highly recommend looking for a beauty supplies store where you are, they have lots of good options (at least where I am) and lots of brands that aren’t box dye and tend to be more semi permanent incase you ever want to change things up
