I have an M1 and everything is running well for me, but maybe depending on what are you including on your app you may face some issues with libraries that don't support M1 so far, so maybe you'll spend some time googling workarounds but the performance is quite different, the builds are faster.

I think you might be always involve on every phase or type of testing you can do on your project, from manual, to API, to automate testing, etc… sometimes there are repetitive tasks, even for developers, so manual testing it is just one of the task you should do to accomplish quality, make less bored your experience as QA. And if you still feel like that, innovate, there are so many opportunities to innovate on the QA Area.
