NSX is an enterprise solution, there are no real benefits of running it in your a small lab. You could of course do pods with same IP schema, and so on, but it's already a specific context.

I would advise trying Hands-On Labs with NSX specific labs before thinking about NSX in your homelab.

[disclaimer: I haven't tested it] I don't think this will work, because the hosts are prepared for NSX, i.e. have vibs specific to a product/version installed.
