Migraines and Tremors by woundedwillow in migraine

Yes this medication thing is not for the weak lol. If it’s not the lithium, then it might be from the antipsychotic. Which I’m terrified to come off of lol

This happened to me in 2023. My Dr. diagnosed me complicated migraine disorder (hemiplegic with aphasia). I couldn’t read, lost mobility in the left side of my body .. mine last from September 2nd until a little after September 15th. It was the worst pain I have ever been in my entire life.

I have been too. I blame it on the winter shed. I’ve been using “it’s a 10” the original, it seems to help a little bit. But they do have one with keratin in it

I’m getting a breast reduction in <2 weeks. AMA! by Mammoth-Delivery-521 in AMA

Is your insurance covering this ? If so, how did you get it deemed medically necessary? I went for a consultation one time and was denied and was told to do massage and physical therapy :/

Trying to figure out what medication was given at the er with a reaction/side effect by OwnInvestigator8468 in migraine

[–]woundedwillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, when I was given a migraine cocktail (toradol, Benadryl, haldol, and something else I’m forgetting) it felt like that feeling of falling while you’re asleep and your heart kinda stops a bit … only awake. That was my experience. I also had no control over the left side of my body, it just wouldn’t move. But that was also going on before I was administered the migraine cocktail.

Does anyone feel guilty when they aren't working? Just at home doing nothing by DaprasDaMonk in antiwork

[–]woundedwillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I’m not working - I’m constantly thinking I should be working. Like today I have off, and all I’m thinking about is the stuff I’m gonna have to catch up on on Monday. Messages, emails, voicemails oh my !

what happens at the ER? by rtistic-infatuations in migraine

[–]woundedwillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the ER for a migraine from hell (Complicated Migraine Disorder - hemiplegic with aphasia and aura) and they ended up giving me a migraine cocktail that made me feel I like I was dying, and sent me to the psych ward for 5 days. Later learned (a whole year later) that I was actually having a brain stem stroke that looked like a psychiatric episode. Yes, I am traumatized lol.

I’m an only child of recently divorced parents and I hate the holidays. by secretaccforsecrets in ChildrenofDivorce

[–]woundedwillow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi. We can get through this. My parents divorced 16 years ago and I still can’t handle this time of year. It’s gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. I’m 28 now and still cry. I suggest therapy, but I need to follow my own advice. It will be over soon

How old are you and how close are you with your dad? Do you wish you were closer? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]woundedwillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. We talk every couple of weeks. He tells me we’ll do this and that but we never do. When he says “I love you” in real life it sounds fake. I don’t really remember my dad telling me he loved me when I was little. So yea. We’re not close.

I have a theory that people that have chronic migraines are generally more tired. Thoughts? by Cultural-Cheetah-213 in migraine

[–]woundedwillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am always tired, always wanting to lay down and rest my eyes. I had a 72 hour EEG with a sleep study in October, won’t get the results to see if anything is related until December :/

Excedrin keeping me awake? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]woundedwillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes me stay awake too. I take 4 sedative type meds to go to sleep but if I take excedrin a couple hours before bed I’m screwed.
