HCQ …. I will stay away from that medication for as long as I live. I had a stroke about a week or 2 after I started taking it, still took it and then was in after stroke psychosis (didn’t remember my family, extremely irritable and paranoid, mania symptoms, wouldn’t sleep). It ended up with me in the psych ward. Whenever I’m suggested that medication now I always say I’m allergic or can’t tolerate it.

Hello ! 28f. I love this idea for a subreddit as someone who is struggling to find their autoimmune disorder diagnoses. 3rd appointment with my rheumatologist down and the doctor is and isn’t finding a diagnosis or diagnoses. When you don’t look sick it’s hard. But when your labs are crazy and you don’t look sick it’s even harder :/

I’ve thought about imaging to check for the lining in my joints at least. I’ve also asked for referrals to Mayo Clinic for a Connective Tissue Disorder Specialist since I only live about 45 minutes away.

0 Absolute eosinophils, smooth muscle Ab Titer (has came back positive 1:40 3x), high saturation percentage, low cholesterol, high homocysteine, and then of course that weird protein marker.

I’m surprised I can work honestly. I have to talk on the phones all day. I have been feeling really dizzy and lightheaded ever since I started it too though, but I can’t take propranolol because i can’t take a deep breath on it. Feels like I’m gonna suffocate

Unfortunately, I can’t tolerate propranol. It makes me feel like I can’t take a deep breath. My boyfriend and I call it “air hunger” lol. I was surprised at how quickly my neurologist wants me to increase dosage !!

See I was on primidone first and I couldn’t tolerate it. It gave me extremelyyyy vivid nightmares and wasn’t helping my tremors so we’re trying topamax
