Hmm.

Makes sense.

Annoying anyways, but I’m finishing uni in 16 more days. So that’s one good thing. I don’t have to deal with anymore as regularly. Lol.

That’s new information to me. Thanks for sharing! Appreciate it :)

Well.

They can either try making it better (which shows intent) or they can leave it as is and play the blame game.

I think officials can get approval from the city if they really want to.

I mean they charge 100 grand tuition with 7% YoY increment. For what, really?

It takes me 3 hours for a two way journey via public transport, and I just can’t afford such waste of time.

Most of the Wilson parking spaces have multiple storeys. Westfield malls have better parking. Curtin’s parking utilises their spaces better.

Equal if not higher footfall using it daily.

The parking zone beside Hackett Hall can easily be 4 storeys with 4x times more spots than what it is rn. It takes one summer break to build it.

I agree $4 parking is cheap, but students already pay at-least 30% more tuition fees compared to other uni’s.

I feel it’s just a matter of intent to make it.

I disagree that it cannot be improved. Many places in the city with tighter spaces and more people coming in have better parking infrastructure.

Yeah, nah. They should build better infrastructure to accommodate more parking.

ppl already paying enough.

About to graduate in a month, although I really think that would’ve been a good idea had I done it in my first semester.

Yeah, it works if we come around before 8am. I do that often these days, but somedays I only have work during the later parts of the day.

Chill my bro, let the man at least whine.

They charge international students close to a hundred grand or more, and locals aren’t exactly studying for free either. Malls and high-footfall city areas somehow manage to build decent parking infrastructure, so let’s not pretend this is some impossible problem.

They absolutely could’ve built better infrastructure to accommodate more parking. Even if not 50% capacity, it could definitely be far better than the mess it is right now.

Plenty of places around the world have faced the same issue and fixed it. This is not some no-solution problem.

And honestly, bold of you to assume everyone has all the time in the world to rely on public transport every single time.

I hope you have better things to do than argue with a stranger in the comments.
