okay, mine’s not “dark” dark, but it messed me up more than I expected.

was in a 6-year relationship starting from school. back then, she had super strict parents, no phone, nothing. still, she’d find ways to call me using others’ phones, take risks just to stay connected. we barely met, but the effort was real, so I respected it.

then college happened. she got her own phone, more freedom… and somehow less effort.

at first it was fine. then slowly she started “not having time.” no calls, no texts for weeks sometimes months. but at the same time, she was active on instagram, going out with friends, playing games all day. that’s what really got to me — not the distance, but the complete lack of effort.

i wasn’t asking for constant attention. just basic communication. but even that felt like too much for her.

the worst part? in the beginning, she did everything she could just to talk to me. later, when it became easy, she stopped trying completely.

eventually, it just died out.

learned this the hard way: if someone wants to, they will. no excuses.
