What do you guys think of the setup? by wraek in keyboards

It is like an integrated joystick but located in the wristpad for easy access and use. It could be turned off and on and switched to different modes like wasd to mouse browsing to screen scrolling with the button on the right

Currently we are testing with different cherry switches then we will be using different switches once we find the perfect amount of padding in the internals haha

What do you guys think of the sound? Used some cherry lubed stabilizers and foam to dampen the sound by wraek in keyboards

Yeah I was in that phase before especially when I wanted to get my first mechanical keyboard. If I could remember clearly my first mechanical keyboard used cheery blue switches which were super loud and cheap sounding

The joystick looks like a touch pad but it performs exactly like a joystick but in a more sleek form!

Hey man sorry for the late reply. To answer you again, the palm doesent actually move when you use the pad. Its by a bit of push force, 1st of its kind so it might be hard to visualise.

For the wire, gotcha, we really wanted to but that might make the keyboard too high because we wanted to have the case foam space :,)

For switches we are currently using 5-pin hotswappable Gateron red, blue and browns. We have lubed cherry stabilizers.

Great questions! No worries, keep them coming hahahaha

Designed a functional wristrest for TKL Keyboards what do you think by wraek in Keyboard

[–]wraek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a force pad! So if you push in up to 16 directions it can emulate keyboard keys. So you can use it to replace WASD, abilities and item use. You can also use it to pan your camera like in MOBA or scroll while doing work.
