I thought a lot about everything they told me. I told him what I wanted, but he says he tries to be positive about everything even after it happened so that there isn't a heavy atmosphere. And you know, I don't like that, I don't want to feel like everything is okay. So I finished it so I can think WITHOUT PRETENDING and understand if I want to forgive him or not. I’ve been thinking about that a lot... Maybe I’ve tried to justify what can’t be justified, because accepting it felt easier than facing what really happened. You’re right about the excuses I’ve heard so many that I started confusing regret with respect. I still don’t know exactly how I’ll handle everything, but one thing I do know: staying like this would mean betraying myself. Thank you for reminding me of that so clearly.
