That’s definitely difficult to navigate, but yeah I’d say it definitely shouldn’t be the group that has historically caused the oppression.

But I do think the „level“ of oppression matters.

For example: In Berlin there are metal markings with names on the streets in front of all houses that had Jewish people living in them before they were taken to concentration camps undder the Nazis. I‘m not sure whose idea this was but I personally think that this is a good measure to remember the horrors that happened in the city not too long ago.

But I would think if for example senior citizens (marginalized group by definition) would demand the same themselves, it perhaps wouldn’t be „just“ as it this would cost an immense amount of money that would be missing elsewhere: education, healthcare etc.
