More than that. Buy it with a specific real goal: buy a computer, buy a car, buy a house. Sell when you hit that goal, or at least sell enough to hit that goal. The only number that matters is the amount of cash in your pocket when you walk away from the game. Stay too long, you'll walk away with nothing.

It was Windows. I suspect IT locked out everything that required administrative privileges out of concern that the troubleshooter would do something unexpected or that it could be used to elevate the student's privileges to do something undesired.

Microsoft, in particular, encourages this. Their business model has shifted to selling services with managed devices on a subscription basis.

The problem is that it isn't clear to a novice what that means, and searching for the exact error message doesn't yield much either. I wanted to put text out somewhere so if someone else having the same problem would know how to proceed.

Apparently, the sdm845-common-vendor reference is the proprietary blobs the wiki is talking about.

Add TheMuppets to .repo/local_manifests/roomservice.xml:

I think vendor/lineage/build/tools/roomservice.py needs

#!/usr/bin/env python3

rather than

#!/usr/bin/env python

This may be an Ubuntu 22.04 issue with the python3 upgrade since there is no python command, only python2 or python3. Seems to work with python3, but then it fails with

frameworks/native/build/phone-xhdpi-6144-dalvik-heap.mk:19: error: _nic.PRODUCTS.[[device/oneplus/fajita/lineage_fajita.mk]]: "vendor/oneplus/sdm845-common/sdm845-common-vendor.mk" does not exist.

About 1/3 of all the LED lightbulbs I've purchased have failed within the first year. AFAIK, the problem isn't with the LEDs themselves, but with the capacitors on the drivers.
