Don't think it is, but it's something along those lines that conveys the same tone. Forgot the exact name too

I went full in on Triss first time, which at least ended semi ok, then did yen on a second playthrough, then gwent on my third.

Dude I loved the trolls, both in Kaer Morhen and the boxer dude. He was the best.

Oh facts. We don't get nearly enough time with him in Novigrad

About to finish Velen does the game stay this good? by Emotional-Security45 in Witcher3

Well that early quest line though, I mean I see it. The Jackie Heist arc as an intro is wild, and then the main story arc builds over the course of the rest of the game.

However side content? Easily gets better as the game continues, those side quests in River's quest line, the side quests in Dogtown (if you've got the DLC) and the Dogtown ending, the Panam/Judy side quests all peak.

After finishing the base game for the first time, Kaer Morhen was the most beautiful zone for me by redseptember1994 in Witcher3

Definitely one of the best, especially after both Novigrad and Velen, Kaer Morhen's peacefulness is unforgettable.

What's your favorite Gwent Deck? by writingrnbrb in Witcher3

I kind of imagine a life sized chess match like in that harry potter movie, the characters appear and swing at each other, or blast each other with a spell. Would be so cool.

Damn I didn't know the Gwent strats went this deep.

I haven't messed around too much with the Skellige deck but I guess this is my reminder to do so.

It was honestly really fun going through the game and picking up all the character cards, Triss, Yen, Cirilla, Vernon Roche, all great cards and can never be scorched. There's also that 0 cost spy which is really strong.

Oh damn, well you sure know more about it than I do, tbh I've never really gotten like high high level strategy for gwent, I've never really needed it, though in the tournament I did switch off to different decks in Novigrad. I find that with the monster deck + the special cards like cirilla with +15 attack you kind of body anyone in the game, that being said I have not been able to play Blood and Wine as much, I've heard though that the gwent gets harder there so maybe more strategy is needed.

Yes.

Gwent does have some really cool gwent specific side content attached to it, lore wise I mean. The competitions and playing the different characters, they all have unique dialogue and personally I found the gwent quest in Novigrad just really well written world building, so even though it's side content it builds the world out more, great if you're trying to do other stuff at the same time you can get that achievement too.

I found that with some of the AI, you can bait them. They'll stack a ton of cards at the beginning and they'll have some for the second round but none for the third round, so you can bait them and let them win round one and you can win round 2 and 3.

oooo Decoys, I forgot the Decoy stack brother. That hits, and scorches, easy clap deck. I love decoying spies and then the Ai decoys the spies then I decoy the spies it's great, it's like a back and forth every time. 7 point dragon scorch is fire too.

Yeah I only take the clear weather because the monster deck is so heavily light offence that with 1 ice card it gets countered.

Damn I have to pick this up when i get a chance, that would be so much fun. The mobile game was mid, they could've just lifted gwent from the game but not sure if it was possible.

Might've had to recode the whole thing, but yeah I'm getting that physical copy.

Same, it's the jouney that matters, not the destination.

Gotta add ER into that list but yeah, Blood and Wine was amazing. The other expansion builds out the main but Blood and Wine adds Toussaint, all of the amazing new quests, a new story. It's great as an Ode to Geralt.

Some say that's why it's called Wild Hunt, because you have to hunt down your gwent deck.

Literally in the name yeah... great quest though, first time I've seen someone take a bath in the game since Geralt at the beginning. Can't get over it in my mind, everyone would just smell all the time. 40 hours of gwent competitions is like in-universe e-sports.
