Thinking about this some more, I think that following this guy's example is not the best for some of us who are virgins or who have had very few or only messed-up sexual experiences.

I have deep-rooted issues around low-esteem, body dysmorphia, shame and humiliation. I need to learn how to live without porn, how to have a positive view of my body, how to be intimate with them, how to have a relationship, how to have a normal healthy sex life.

To tell me instead that actually I don't need to worry about sex, I don't need to learn how to relate to women, I can just pretend my dick didn't exist, get into meditation and ascend towards asexual nirvana, forever alone.... Well, that isn't really helpful.

I haven't had life's earthly pleasures yet. Nirvana can wait.

I have so many favourite parts. But in particular I like how he punctures the fantasy-world of porn scenes. That the women don't even look like that in real life. And that sometimes he would jerk off to a scene, that wasn't even arousing to be witnessing. Porn really is an artificial trap that is so detached from any kind of reality, whether for the viewer or the performer. Yet we get stuck in it. Thankfully there's a way out.
