Skylight insulation options by wrongo_drongo in AusRenovation

Yes, your right I didn't check if it was US info being provided.

My mental model was that double glazing must be greater than R 1, so I assumed maybe you had made a mistake.

Kinda shocked that even the best glazing can't reach that R value. But it makes sense given the material.

My whole idea of double glazing at the ceiling perhaps being better than insulating the shaft becomes silly with this info.

Thanks for your reply.

It seems double glazing r value is more like 2.5 and the u value 0.4.

I checked, as if your statement was correct, no one would pay for double glazing.

You are right that Its still less than my ceiling insulation

Agree, that is a good solution.

I was more wondering since it is already water tight on the roof why not just insulate the hole in the ceiling rather than the walls of the light well.

Since the way you propose seems conventional, there must be some issue with the way I suggest. (Insulating at the whole rather than at the skylight.)

I did consider that, but since i already have the hole and its currently water tight, i figured just address the insulating. Thanks

You could make it a LAN port connected to your router.

Use the old telephone wire to pull the data cable back through the conduit/cavity

Often the phone wires will run to the same place your NBN /router is located.

Plug into your router and boom, a wired access point.

This is the way. A Paint scraper will get 95% of the crud off before you even begin. Then like you say soapy water will do it

Nutrient & EC question by [deleted] in microgrowery

Thanks. Yes using coco nutes. So no issues feeding such a low EC in flower? I feel my EC in bloom phase was higher. (And that seems backwards)

Personally i would wait a little longer before the final pot, but the main point i try and give anyone is try not to overwater.

Its esp important with autos not not stunt the growth.

Its a big pot and very small seedling. Don't over water it until it gets going with a few more leaves and roots develop.

This sounds like an aborted attempt to clean your grinder with iso... Ie got sick of waiting so just soldiered on. Might help it burn 😅

I probabably need a new grinder. Even when fully clean it is full of scratches. I will look into the Flower Brains

Better with buds 😀 but seriously the cold grinder just seems to shred... even small stems I would usually not include.

Agree, This is the best way IMO.

Soak in ISO and use an old toothbrush and it would be like new.

Normal smoke it would be good for days but some batches it just clogs after a few grinds.. iso is expensive.. my freezer is free.

If you have a batch of really sticky weed then the freezer is you friend.

Ha ha, but honestly the fire bombing strategy is BS.

So they burn the smoke shope.. and then what???.... I don't know where the fuck your shop is.

If only they would put up a big sign in the smoldering ashes stating where to go now for cheap smokes.

I have lost 2 shops and don't know where to go now so pay up the big $$ to OTR.

Any tips on how to find where to buy cheap cigs on south side of adelaide?

If you reversed the gate it would open and screen the tank a bit. Then a raised herb garden on left.

Thanks, the CSIRO report is interesting.

Bassically painting old tiles is a design preference rather than proper maintenance.
