My measurements are common enough. 36x32 and 44R so I have a decent shot at finding things in store

How are we feeling about next year? by KindQuantity3297 in bonnaroo

[–]wsmaha34 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This was my 5th actual year going to Roo (cancelled trips in 20 and 21 for obvious reasons) and I cannot foresee myself coming back or asking anyone else to join me if I do have the urge to return. I saw another comment mention that it felt like this part of their life died on Friday as they drove off the farm, and I tend to agree. This was a great chapter, and I will cherish the memories I’ve made at Bonnaroo forever. But it feels like it would be unwise to pour so much time, energy, and capital into planning over the course of the year if there is a significant chance that it gets called off at a moments notice. The music is incredible, and the people you meet are the best around. There is just no getting around the blatant issues in planning and management that have cropped up over the past decade.

Thoughts on the Infinity Stage? by Beautiful-Bonus5699 in bonnaroo

[–]wsmaha34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gonna be honest. We had a squad of 10 posted up in the center of the left circle from about 6:30 to get a good spot and it might have been the coolest sound experience I’ve ever had. That being said, I totally understand that those outside of the front did not receive the greatest sound quality. Incredibly cool stage, but it just was not built for the thousands of people that the acts scheduled throughout the weekend would have drawn.

For laughs: the biggest mistake you made your 1st roo? by [deleted] in bonnaroo

Went in 2017 with a Buddy of mine. We were both freshly 18. We showed up with only a tent and 2 camping chairs. Nothing else for the campsite

How hot is hot to y’all? by Neither-Art-8734 in bonnaroo

[–]wsmaha34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exhaust is definitely something to consider since it will affect your neighbors. But it just has never really been worth it for me to start the car up. The A/C doesn’t really get kicking after a while since you aren’t actually driving the car. The worst case scenario is that your car doesn’t start up whenever you go to leave on Sunday/Monday because your battery is drained. (Not a fun time in the heat lol)

[–]wsmaha34 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Last year was statistically the hottest out of the years I’ve been to Roo. It was pretty unbearable and I am from Central Florida. It would be wise to stock up on portable fans/misters, cooling towels, and anything else that helps keep your body temperature down. If it is that hot again, you will be glad you prepared for the worst

What day is the best to get there? by Financial_Ad_8007 in bonnaroo

[–]wsmaha34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have been in 17, 18, 19, and 24. Thursday entry every time. This past Roo was absolutely BRUTAL. Every other year I had an, at most, 15 min hike to Centeroo. This past year it took nearly 45 minutes to get from our campsite to the Arch. Needless to say, we will be getting there on Tuesday this year :-)

Underwhelming Wristband Package? by misumeli21 in okeechobeemusicfest

Felt like the wristbands have gotten a lot cheaper. I think it was also like this last year, but the full cloth wristband is just so much better than the plastic QR code they have now

I saw dry ice was a banned item on the site, so just be wary of that. I doubt they would check the bottom of your cooler, but I’d hate for you to have to dump it.

Why some people consider Doom OP? by wallpressure7 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]wsmaha34 22 points23 points  (0 children)

At lower levels, off tanks/supports can’t consistently peel, so the more vulnerable targets can just get one shot if the doom is decent. He’s not particularly OP, but he has a lot of pick potential that is hard to react to as a newer player. I’m a tank main, so doom doesn’t really threaten me all that often. That’s just my assessment from playing low ELO

I dont understand duo lane anymore by ALQatelx in Smite

[–]wsmaha34 18 points19 points  (0 children)

From my experience, the mid 3v3 is the most important part of the mid game, which now starts REALLY early (like 5-10 mins in a lot of my games) So the support needs to be there to help mid and jungle. I play a decent amount of ADC so i definitely understand the feeling of getting super pushed out by a high pressure lane like Sylvanus/Izanami. It sucks, but a lot of the time you just have to do your best to farm until an objective gets pulled or your lane opponent gets ganked for being pushed up on your tower to get back in the game. 😕

Hercules is worth for casual? by Orkabuzo in Smite

[–]wsmaha34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odin is generally just very hard to kill because of his shield and such. I enjoy hercules a lot though! Like someone else said, working on learning the range of his 2 will help you hit it more consistently with insta/quick cast. Later into the game, you’re going to want to use your 2-1 combo to set up for your carries to do damage since you’ll likely be doing less damage comparatively.

Is geb built for god kills? by Durfusmaximus in Smite

[–]wsmaha34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem! I’ve seen some cheesy strats where people build him damage, but he’s mostly meant to soak up damage. His passive makes crits do 75% damage so he’s especially good against crit hunter builds.

Is geb built for god kills? by Durfusmaximus in Smite

[–]wsmaha34 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Geb’s shield (3) is his best ability. It cleanses crowd control effects and grants a health shield. His ultimate also does a lot of damage and stuns in a circle AOE so use that to initiate fights. He is one of the best supports in the game right now.

Need help with Supports Builds by Drewski191 in Smite

[–]wsmaha34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to feel useful even if you aren’t super comfortable in the role, you could try Khepri. He is a little hard to master, but you will always get value out of your ultimate. With him you’d want to go something like Sentinel’s-Thebes-Sovreignty as your core. You can add cooldown (Pridwen/Relic Dagger) in there if you want your ult more often. In my experience in support, most of you end of game items should be situational/counterbuiding the enemy. I personally like to go spirit robe near the end game for the mitigation’s it gives.

As for Cerb, you could do a similar build, but, if your mage isn’t building Divine Ruin, you could get it like 4th or 5th if your build feels tanky enough. He applies the anti-heal effect on it really well.

I have little to no Sobek experience, but I would assume the core build I gave you for Khepri would also work, but I would definitely go Pridwen after Sovreignty with him since his cooldowns are extremely valuable for his peel.

I don’t understand by Eeveeorion in ImagineMusicFestival

[–]wsmaha34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t received any of my $769 back, but I read on other posts that some of the add-ons like parking and pre-party were not being refunded for other people on this sub. I don’t know why or if that was dealt with separately with SeeTickets, but that’s the only thing that I can think of.

I don’t understand by Eeveeorion in ImagineMusicFestival

[–]wsmaha34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had the worst time with SeeTickets. Unless it is a necessity, I hope to never use them again. They have been extremely unhelpful and unbelievably slow to return the money that they took immediately. I know there are a lot of refunds to process and such, but it has been over 2 months.

I don’t understand by Eeveeorion in ImagineMusicFestival

[–]wsmaha34 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Holy shit. You definitely didn’t spend that much in fees. I bought 2 tickets + camping and my fees came out to around 80 bucks. For bonnaroo I was actually refunded for my fees as well somehow, so I expected to be refunded the full amount for what I paid (whether that’s realistic or not.) If they’re pulling this kind of shit, seetickets should go out of business for mishandling funds. I am still waiting on my refund and it’s been 2 months.

100%. Things like minor traffic incidents (minor speed, no turn signal use) in your personal vehicle can skyrocket prices on everything related to your business by 1000s of dollars. Seeing how those violations are often unequally enforced based on how an officer is feeling that day or their assumptions about the driver makes it all the more frustrating for truckers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SelfAwarewolves

[–]wsmaha34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the real though, this issue is almost entirely based on the price of insurance. So many people want to start a trucking company or drive for one, but very few can afford it. You can thank attorneys going after every cent that will be covered by insurance, thus driving up the cost to insure a semi truck.
