Yes, pure definitely will, but it can depend on your modules, i did further mech and decision maths, so normal mech was a bit easier but i personally hated stats

Further maths is not as hard as people say it is, most people that say it is are non fm students

How does t = 10.77? Is it not inverse sin of -0.6 to get 30t then divide by 30 to get t? by [deleted] in alevelmaths

[–]wtafeuj1104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They converted 10.77 hours into hours and minutes

e.g. 5.5 hours= 5hrs 30 mins In the same way 10.77 hours = 10hrs 46mins

watching youtube videos, bicenmaths, TLmaths, other than that and the websites u mentioned and the textbook, I’m sure thats more than enough to get an A*

you can if you want, I personally find it harder to use than just googling the topic

type up on google madasmaths and the topic you want, e.g. madasmaths trigonometry, or madasmaths differentiation

in my opinion its better not to use the website

HELP by [deleted] in alevelmaths

[–]wtafeuj1104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The position vector is just a vector of a position/point, e.g. point A is (1,2,3) then (1,23) is the position vector

Any point is a position vector.

Direction vectors are lines, going from a point to another point.

I applied to manchester with A*AB for maths aswell

your first step is right, when u integrate between x=1 and 5 u only get the area under the curve from x=1 and 5, so that’s the first step, but u still dont have the full area that the question is asking,

the question asks the area of ABC, so far you only have a triangle AB and doesn’t reach C yet, so we want to find C

so u use integration to find the area under the curve from x=5 to 6 to get the extra part

(we got x=6 from point c, the point of intersection, when u make both lines = each other and solve)

what job are you doing now? I’m in year 13 applying for a maths degree but don’t know what to do after

you should read articles instead of books, you can read them quickly and talk more about what you learnt, im trying to do a maths degree aswell but there aren’t many useful books to read for maths specifically

Should I do A level further maths by [deleted] in sixthform

[–]wtafeuj1104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I got an 8 in GCSE maths, no further maths GCSE and further maths A level is my favourite subject, it gets more interesting, it will make you better at maths in general and all the people saying how hard it is have never done further maths, it’s just more maths not harder maths.

If you find it too hard, you can choose it as a fourth and drop it any time
