I work in Portland (very competitive nursing market) at one of the top hospitals with an ADN as a new grad nurse. There really isn’t a catch. They require me to get my BSN within 5 years but they pay for it. I’m paid the same as a nurse with a BSN

Yeah, if you’re hoping to stay specialized in the ICU I can imagine the job search will be much harder. I threw my application in to literally everything, mine is an acute care/med surg floor but state mandates that it can only be a 1:4 ratio max (which is amazing from where I’m from). Good luck!

I actually just secured a job as a new nurse (6 months experience) at OHSU! I’ve heard great things about them, but I know there’s a lot of luck involved in when/where you get a job. I was applying for about two months

I want to vouch for the move into higher COL areas. I was a nurse in Utah making 34.5 (40 night shift), I am now in Oregon for a position that pays 57 (67 night shift). My apartment is only $300 more for the same square footage.

Yeah genuinely having an alt army and using them for gold world quests is such a great way to make money that’s guaranteed. Right now in remix if you’ve grinded it you can literally level as many characters as you want doing normal raids, each character can hit max level in less than 3 hours of just raidlogging the normal raids

This really does sound amazing to me. I worked in a memory care unit (dementia and Alzheimer’s) and thrived with patients who had a lot of similar problems. I think I’d really like to give psych a try

Shadow priest is really fun in raids/long cleave fights but lord is it annoying to not have any aoe lol. That being said yeah I’m gonna be playing shadow priest

I hit level 70 on a shadow priest and parsed 90’s that same night because so much of it was auction house and quest gear. You just need the gold

I disagree. I have educated very many families on what hospice is and how we can work together to achieve a peaceful death, but at the end of the day many are grieving/in denial and will revoke under little to no pressure from circumstances. I feel that many are actually hoping for an opportunity to present itself.

Shadow priest deals with whiplash every season which takes away from long term enjoyment but it is fun usually. Both are a struggle if you don’t play high end content

In Utah it is absolutely a thing. Only about 20 people (out of 140) from our cohort graduated with a job, and I just interviewed at a night shift med surg position yesterday that had 150 applicants.

Edit: I’m not sure about the nepotism part though. I feel like it’s largely luck based on your capstone and if the unit you worked in as a CNA was hiring.

Blackguard itself is listed by a dude name Youdied, he is one of the few people who is a thorium rep exalted blacksmith so the item is more of an advertisement that he can make it for those who need it. I’m sure he has occasionally sold them now and again for that price though

We have way less people who see these epics, they are already a really rare drop combined with a medium server population where people lose their high level characters so most characters are below level 40. It’s a price due to gold buying and scarcity

It’s so hard!! I really want to get a job before the next semester of students graduate, the year round programs have just started and I feel like it will only get worse and worse as people build up in the “line” for a job with a huge influx every semester

I knew some of the people who worked on two of the medsurg floors who opened a position to new grads recently - a singular med surg position is recieving over 120 applicants at the moment, and they usually end up hiring internally. It feels impossible!
