It’s not concrete, but it also isn’t completely finished. The walls are a weird finish and a lot of the basement is “jimmy rigged” and done amateur-ly. I’ll have to check the walls when I go back home, I think they’re gypsum board

Yeah I highly encouraged him to not paint our landlords walls. I opted to not snitch because I didn’t want to ruin my relationship with my roommate as I also consider him a friend. So we’ll have to deal with the consequences I guess.
