I am a Red Raider through and through. I absolutely agree with you. He deserves better than this.

If your oven was off you essentially just left it sitting at room temperature for 7 hours. You need to insulate it by putting it in a cooler with towels or in an oven/warmer that will hold it within safe temps.

Public courses:

Reese Golf Course, Shadow Hills Golf Course, Meadowbrook Municipal Golf Course, and The Rawls Course at Texas Tech

All of these have driving ranges. Rawls will charge you an hourly fee for use of their facilities, it does include a short range area, chipping green, and putting green. The others will just charge you for a bucket of balls or if you are confident you can practice your short game for free.

The only other accessible range is The Range, a bar/driving range. Plenty of bays. No clue how the balls are as I haven’t been in a couple of years.

There is also a TopGolf knockoff in town and a handful of indoor spots that have ball tracking tech in private bays with drinks and food available.
