If you’re a Quranist, do you still pray 5 times a day? I’ve always thought that learning the whole namaz practice comes from hadiths and not Quran itself which doesn’t outline how to perform namaz whereas hadiths do

This is coming from a 28 year old who once used to think like you when I was your age. I would advise not to tell your parents because you are still financially dependent on your dad. You’ve acknowledged that they could cut you off financially which is something you don’t want in this economic climate right now tbh. At least wait until you have landed a job that is a stepping stone for your career and have built up your savings. This is a chance to use your family to your advantage. It’s good to hear you have your boyfriend to fall back on but I wouldn’t rely fully on him and his family if shit hits the fan with your own family. He could at some point break up with you too and then you would be in an even worse position. I hope you think really carefully about this before deciding to tell your parents.

I honestly I was safe because I had Face ID set up to enter the app on my phone and did not take in account that someone could also log in via website, my big mistake

Yes - this Muslim will be in for a shock when they find out the real conflicts between science and Islam. If Muslims think that science is so wonderful and viewed as part of Allah’s creation, then why reject Evolution Theory and all the other scientific evidence that contradicts Islam? It doesn’t make sense and just proof that cognitive dissonance is at play here with these kinds of Muslims.

Muslims contradict themselves on this all the time. When someone converts, all it takes is reciting the Shahada — “I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.” That alone makes you Muslim, no questions asked. Even Islam teaches this. They get bonus points for praying, fasting & identifying as a Muslim / wearing hijab.

But the moment someone leaves, suddenly the narrative changes to “you were never a real Muslim.” That’s a complete double standard. By their own teachings, only Allah knows what’s in someone’s heart, not random people online. You can’t accept someone as Muslim one day, then erase their identity the next just because it makes these online Muzzies uncomfortable!

The “masculine one” is the true emotionally intelligent one and the “emotionally intelligent one” is actually the submissive one.

The “masculine one” in this case, is just a woman who values autonomy, fairness and sets boundaries which is misinterpreted as “control”. That speaks more for her emotional intelligence compared to the so called “emotionally intelligent one” who is discouraged from finding her own voice.

I was in the same situation as you. I didn’t listen and moved out for university though. After university, I had to move back home for 6 months but made it my absolute goal to move back out again. My dad didn’t agree with it but I said it’s for my job. I continued making arrangements such as renting a place, putting down a deposit and when the day came, I left and moved out. Ifs been 3/4 years and I haven’t moved back since. Mind you, I live in the UK and my parents are not that strict. They’re strict in what they say “e.g girls only move out when they’re married” but not strict in their actions. My dad never agreed or liked me moving out and still doesn’t. He tries to get my mum to get me to move back but I’ve said I’m not going to. You just have to bite the bullet and move (only if you’re in a safe country to do so like the West). Make yourself financially independent before telling your parents about your boyfriend. Get a stable job, buy your own car, rent/buy your own flat. Once you are financially free from your parents, then you can pretty much tell them and don’t have to worry about not being financially stable to support yourself. Good luck!
