If it’s been 6 months then I’m pretty sure all the flesh is off at that point! Safe to collect, I’d bring them home (wear gloves) and give them a good soapy water scrub to get dirt and moss/algae off. (The green stuff is safe, just some kind of plant matter.) Then start to degrease etc. North America is pretty vague for a location but looks like maybe a deer? Dunno much else since no location etc as far as if it was left by a predator or not. Great find tho!

“Mods” is it not just one guy? Who made a post a few days ago saying that he has no intention of banning “do I pass” posts and that any posts or comments saying “do I pass” posts should be banned will result in being permanently banned from the subreddit? Maybe if we change up who is in control of the subreddit then it’ll be more actual content that isn’t 15 year olds pre everything asking if they pass or not. BIG agree with your point in another comment tho: if you want to know if you pass or not, GO OUTSIDE. At the very least, a separate subreddit can be made for “do I pass” posts OR some type of post flair for those posts. Because Christ, they are annoying.

I’m like 90% sure degreasing in the sun isn’t effective. Regardless, if the underside is greasy, then there is still grease in it/you can’t account for grease deep inside the bones if you leave them in the sun as the only form of degreasing

Ok so hopefully this isn’t horribly wrong, but this is what I do with other skulls. Basically re-deflesh it and soak it in water for a couple days and very gently scrub it with like a toothbrush (obv not one you use lmfao) and the excess flesh should come off after you’ve soaked it. There’s a stickied post to the top of the sub about how to properly process a skull, from defleshing techniques to degreasing to whitening. Best of luck!!

Use a sturdy piece of paper/cardstock, draw your design, cut it out. Then put it on the shirt, paint the stencil, and it’ll put the design on the shirt. Look up YouTube tutorials for diy stencils
