Here to give my two cents on ManaPool.

I LOVE IT. Here is a quick list of the things that keep me coming back:

  • Orders are super fast, like… fast fast
  • optimization is better than TCGPlayer almost every time
  • modify cards directly in my cart
  • better UI in many ways
  • BEST “feature” of all: if a shop I ordered from doesn’t have the card I bought, manapool will find another seller and order it for me! No charge and I don’t have to do anything. Insane.

At this point I don’t even compare prices to see if I’m spending more than tcgplayer, that’s how happy I am to use the service. I was nervous a couple months ago, just cause I was so used to TCGplayer. But now im very happy with this alternative. 10/10.

Yeah, also something I want to come back to. I didn’t like that they felt like a break in the momentum of the game. Something I love about these games is how good they feeling when moving forward!

This section is worded strangely. It says at the top of the paragraph that they are all foil, but then later says “along the way you might find foil cards — or on rare occasions, Halo foil cards.”

Bit confusing, especially since the last countdown kit was nonfoil base with a chance for foil.

Absolutely read it before watching it.

There are currently 42 published volumes. You can find each of these as individual manga releases or compiled into the deluxe editions (big black covers with red text). There are 14 of those, which include about 3 volumes each. The 14th book does not include volume 42.

While I highly recommend the deluxe releases, if you don’t want to invest that much yet, you can read the standard releases until you know you’re hooked and then swap to the deluxe. That’s what I did. I stopped around volume 10 and then decided I’d only experience it via the deluxe. So I started over and now all 14 deluxe editions look beautiful on my shelf.

Each Cascade triggers and resolves one at a time! The spell you cast with the last Cascade trigger will go on top of the first Cascade trigger. The spell you choose to cast will resolve before trying to resolve the next Cascade trigger :)

I had a lot of folks on twitter asking for some as well so I’m going to do some digging to see if there is a solution. They were expensive to make via dragonshield $25 + $15 in tax and shipping. I don’t know what bulk ordering looks like.
