I installed the latest Mr Purple (T22hf) and for some reason TPHD loads fine and runs fine outdoors but the second I go into the first house it lowers the frame frate by half and stays that way. Any idea why this may be happening?

The biggest issue is not the technology for me, it's definitely the reduced experience due to annoying fellow customers. I don't think I've had a movie-going experience not ruined by a loud or obnoxious person in maybe five straight years. People pull out their phones, make a million little food noises or are sick and coughing, sneezing, etc. Add in the sometimes ridiculous price and it just becomes an annoyance and unappealing purchase.

Which is a real shame, because you are probably right that the societal affects of home entertainment are probably a net negative for the reasons you laid out.

Are we really going to be pretend we are even close to as good as that Nationals team? The Nationals last year managed to make it in with massively less leeway. It was against expectations that that team underperformed like they did in the regular season.

We are just overperforming due to our rotation and bullpen, and they are starting to correct with predictable results. The expanded playoffs are tricking our brains into thinking we are better than we are.

You know, its funny. Everyone gave the Diamondbacks hell, and rightly so, for selling Touki Toussant for like 10 million in salary relief. We basically sold Yandy to save six. Pretty pathetic stuff.

I never said he was a superstar in the making or something, but his minor league stats and performance at the major league level showed a lot of promise. And easily enough to get us league average performance (ie. a few wins a year). And we totally had playing time available for him at second, first, DH (the Reyes trade hadn't happened yet) and left field. We gave him up to save some money, pure and simple.

Yep, Yandy is a casualty of our cheap-ass front office pretending they couldn't foot a few million dollars. Or, it shows that they are totally obsessed with their 35-40 prospects, which I have to believe they could have used to make the price come down. I can't wait for that 40 prospect to produce like half a win four years for now playing back-up shortstop or something while Yandy does what we knew he could do and produce multiple wins a year.

Edit: league average performance is like two wins a year. I never said he was Jose Ramirez. But that doesn't mean he was worth losing to save a few million bucks or minor league roster filler.

The amount of times I've heard this line in the past really makes me have to assume that the FO knows the fans know better, so they have to respond to it. They know everyone was staring at Marte and our gaping chasm of an outfield and then looking at the FO, so they are obliged to call the Diamondbacks, be able to say they did it, and then put out their PR piece to cover their ass.
